DWKC-FM (93.9 FM) – under the brand 93.9 iFM – is a radio station with hot adult contemporary, and OPM format licensed in San Juan City. It is the flagship FM station owned and operated by Radio Mindanao Network in the Philippines. The station's studio is located at Unit 806, Atlanta Centre, Annapolis Street, Greenhills, San Juan City, and transmitter is located at Palos Verdes Executive Village, Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City, Rizal, sharing the same site with 99.5 Play FM and Jam 88.3. DWKC-FM operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. iFM is the Number 1 FUN FM Radio Station in Mega Manila and also considered to be the most powerful FM station in the Metro Manila market in terms of its total transmitter power output.
DWKC-FM was known as 93.9 WKC, first aired on September 3, 1978, a C-D-E market radio station with famous taglines including "We are family". It was managed by Mike Enriquez, at that time known as "Baby Michael". He left in 1995 for GMA Network to prepare for the elections and became widely known as Mr. Saksi. 93.9 WKC operations were at the Philcomcen Bldg. in Ortigas Center, Pasig. It played pop music through its existence. On November 22, 1999 at 11:00PM 93.9 WKC signed off.
The Institute for Media and Communication Policy (IfM) was founded in 2005 as an independent research institution that is exclusively dedicated to issues surrounding media and communication policies. It was established in February 2006 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The institute is funded by leading German public and private media organizations.
The institute is financially supported by various media organizations including ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sky Germany, Axel Springer AG, the publishing groups Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck, Der Spiegel and the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (the regional Berlin Media and Film funding organization) among others. The Institute’s scientific advisory council consists of 25 reputable scholars, all of whom gained recognition in the field through media and communication policy-related publications. Lutz Hachmeister, a journalist and media scholar, is the founding director of the Institute. The head office is located in Berlin-Charlottenburg while a further research department was established in Cologne. The institute has been established as a non-profit, limited liability company (gGmbH) operates independently, and has no political, party, or economic ties.
