The Harry Fox Agency (HFA) is a provider of rights management and collector and distributor of mechanical license fees on behalf of music publishers in the United States. HFA has over 48,000 music publishing clients and issues the largest number of licenses for physical and digital formats of music. It was founded in 1927 by the National Music Publishers Association.

Songfile®

Songfile® is an online mechanical licensing tool designed for the D.I.Y music industry market. It allows the public to search through over millions of songs and purchase licenses. A mechanical license is needed if one wants to manufacture and distribute recordings that he or she did not write. Through Songfile®, licenses can be obtained for physical works, permanent digital downloads (PDDs), ringtones, and interactive streaming distribution. Users pay a low per-song processing fee and royalties for licenses, which are set at the current U.S. statutory rate.

Harry Fox, born Arthur Carringford, (May 25, 1882 - July 20, 1959) was a vaudeville dancer, actor, and comedian.

Biography

Fox is most notably famous for being related as name-source to the Fox Trot dance in New York but there are many doubts that this is a true story. An often used narration is that his steps were recorded by dance instructor F. L. Clendenen in his 1914 book Dance Mad as "The Fox Trot, as danced by Mr. Fox" but in the book neither the dance nor Fox himself are mentioned. Harry Fox made a few recordings of popular songs and appeared in a few silent films, most notably the serial Beatrice Fairfax with Grace Darling. On Broadway in 1915 he appeared opposite Nora Bayes in the play/musical Maid in America.

In the early sound era he made some talking short films such as Harry Fox and his American Beauties and The Fox and the Bee (with his partner and wife Beatrice) but by the 1930s his fame was over and he lived a life of obscurity getting work in films playing bit parts while holding a job as a tester in an aircraft plant. In the 1920s he was briefly married to one of the famous Ziegfeld performers from The Dolly Sisters. He was still living in 1945 when the biopic The Dolly Sisters was made. The movie shows the marriage happening during World War I, a subsequent divorce, and a reunion after Jenny Dolly's accident. He was actress Evelyn Brent's third husband.

Rachel Osborne

Rachel Osborne is a fictional character from the long-running Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Lucy Evans. She joined the show in 2004 before leaving later that year. Natalie was horrified when her little sister Rachel arrived and vowed to get rid of her as soon as possible. After weeks of fighting and squabbling, the final straw came when Jack found out about her failing her exams due to the lack of work and also her second pregnancy but not knowing who the father was. Despite using her charms, Jack told Rachel and Natalie that they were being sent home. Rachel was delighted, and both left, going back to Scotland.

Candy Browne

Candy Browne is a fictional character from the long-running Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Laura Handley. The character was written out in 2005. Candy was friends with Nicole Owen and Candy encouraged Nicole to send in images of herself to a modelling agency, only to be told that her breasts were too small. Nicole then wanted to get implants and asked Candy to pretend she invited Nicole on holiday with her and her family. Nicole didn’t go through with the operation and her mum eventually found out what she had planned to do. The following Christmas the two girls went carol singing for money and when they returned to school they made friends with new girl Paula Johnson. Paula tried to break up the two friends. Candy left after a blazing row with Nicole following stirring by Paula. Candy brought up Nicole's brother Sam Owen and his conviction for arson calling him a "kiddy murderer". Nicole never forgave her for this and Candy was never seen again.

Henry "Harry" Fox (30 September 1856 – on or after 30 August 1888) was an English businessman, sportsman, and adventurer. He played cricket and rugby for his county, and began climbing mountains in the mid-1880s. He was part of the Fox family of Wellington, Somerset, and was a partner in the family business, Fox Brothers, a prominent textile manufacturer.

Fox played and financed cricket and rugby in Somerset; he played cricket for Somerset County Cricket Club from 1877 to 1882, and remained as a vice-president of the club until his death. He founded Wellington Rugby Football Club in 1874, and was an administrator and captain of the Somerset Rugby Football Union. After retiring as a rugby player, he continued to take part as an umpire. In 1884 he started mountaineering, and within two years he was well-known in the mountain climbing community, and a well-regarded alpine explorer. In 1888, he and William Frederick Donkin travelled to the Caucasus Mountains in the Russian Empire in a bid to be the first ones to climb Koshtan-Tau. The pair, along with their Swiss guides, died in an accident during the expedition.
