The Holden FC series is an automobile which was produced by Holden in Australia from 1958 to 1960. Introduced on 6 May 1958, the FC is a facelifted and improved version of the Holden FE series, which it replaced.
Model range
The FC range consisted of four door sedans in three trim levels, five door station wagons, marketed as "Station Sedans" in two trim levels, a two-door coupe utility and a three-door panel van. The seven models were:
GM Holden Ltd, commonly known as Holden, is an Australian automaker that operates in Australasia and is headquartered in Port Melbourne, Victoria. The company was founded in 1856 as a saddlery manufacturer in South Australia. In 1908 it moved into the automotive field, before becoming a subsidiary of the United States-based General Motors (GM) in 1931. After becoming a subsidiary of GM, the company was named General Motors-Holden's Ltd, becoming Holden Ltd in 1998—the current name was adopted in 2005.
Holden is responsible for GM vehicle operations in Australasia, and on their behalf, held partial ownership of GM Daewoo in South Korea between 2002 and 2009. Holden has offered a broad range of locally produced vehicles, supplemented by imported GM models. Holden has offered the following badge engineered models in sharing arrangements: Chevrolet, Isuzu, Nissan, Opel, Suzuki, Toyota and Vauxhall Motors. As of 2013, the vehicle lineup consists of models from GM Korea, GM Thailand, GM in the US, and self-developed Commodore, Caprice, and Ute. Holden also distributed the European Opel brand in Australia in 2012 until the brand's Australian demise in mid-2013.
Holden New Zealand Limited, formerly General Motors New Zealand Limited before 1994 is the sales subsidiary for General Motors in New Zealand. Holden New Zealand was incorporated as a company on 4 January 1926.
Assembly plants
The Petone assembly plant opened in 1926 and the Trentham (in Wellington's Hutt Valley area) assembly plant opened on 26 August 1967 by the Prime Minister of New ZealandKeith Holyoake. At this time, the company had almost one million square feet of floor space, situated on three (Petone and Trentham: assembly/manufacturing plants; Upper Hutt: parts, and later, assembly, warehouse and office facilities) properties in the Hutt Valley totaling 117 acres (0.47km2). The Petone assembly plant was sold in 1984. In 1990, General Motors New Zealand announced its decision to phase out local assembly of passenger cars.
In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank
who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.
In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.
In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.
On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.
F&C is an eroge maker, one of the long-established store makers which exist from the beginning of H game history. It is said that the origin of the company name is each initial of Fairytale and Cocktail Soft. They released first title "Fairy Tale" from Fairytale in 1987, and made another brand called Cocktail Soft in 1989. In 1997, they changed company name from "Ides" to current name. In 2001, they re-styled into 3 teams, called "FC01", "FC02" and "FC03"(Now Dreamsoft). At this time, Cocktail Soft announced the activity pause.
Nicknamed 'the Gambian Hurricane', the 6ft 3ins centre forward is quick, brave and direct and has been prolific with his club side Steve Biko FC in Gambia.
