William Brad Hall (born March 21, 1958) is an American actor, comedian, director and writer. Best known as a Saturday Night Live news anchor on Saturday Night News.

He was also the creator of the TV series The Single Guy and Watching Ellie. He has appeared in various motion pictures, most notably the 1986 cult classic Troll and as Nancy Allen's boyfriend in 1990's Limit Up. In 2012, he directed Picture Paris, which appeared at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Hall was born in Santa Barbara, California.

Family

He is married to actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Veep), whom he met while both were attending Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. They both performed on SNL from 1982 to 1984 and guest starred together on two episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm. They have two sons, Henry (b. 1992) and Charles (b. 1997).

Career

Hall was a producer on the film The Sky Is Falling in 2000. The film had previously been cancelled due to investors removing themselves from the project, but Hall came onto the project soon after the writing team had raised enough financing themselves to move forward with the film project. Hall was also the producer of three short films between 1993 and 1994. His short The Traveling Poet appeared on Late Night with David Letterman in 1993, as did his short Poolside Ecstasy and Housewives: The Making of the Cast Album. The shorts featured and were directed by four time Emmy Award winner Chris Elliott. Hall was also a production assistant on several feature films in the 1990s and assistant director on the television show Sports Theater with Shaquille O'Neal in 1998.
