Bruce Fink (December 22, 1861 – July 10, 1927) was a prominent American lichenologist. He specialized in the taxonomy of lichens and had over 100 publications. Fink was born in Blackberry, Illinois, and was educated there as a youth. Fink earned a BSc degree in 1887 and a Master's degree in 1894 from the University of Illinois, and then went on to do graduate work at Harvard University, where he received the Master of Arts degree in 1896.

Fink started teaching at Upper Iowa University in 1892, and in 1903 became professor of Botany at Grinell College. Three years later in 1906, Fink began a position as headship of Botany at Miami University, where he worked until his death in 1927. Several lichens have been named in his honor, including the species Calosphaeria finkii,Dermatina finkii,Patellaria finkii, and the genus Finkia.

Initially promulgated via the descendants of King Robert I of Scotland (Robert the Bruce) (1274-1329), it has been a Scottish surname since medieval times; it is now a common given name.

As of the census of 2010, there were 779 people, 371 households, and 203 families residing in the village. The population density was 332.9 inhabitants per square mile (128.5/km²). There were 419 housing units at an average density of 179.1 per square mile (69.2/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.1% White and 0.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.0% of the population.

There were 371 households of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.5% were married couples living together, 11.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 45.3% were non-families. 41.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 23.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.85.

Fink, aka Fin Greenall, is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and DJ, born in Cornwall and currently based in Berlin and London. From 1997–2003 he recorded electronic music and DJ'd internationally, releasing in 2000 his debut album Fresh Produce on Ninja Tune. Since the 2006 release of his album Biscuits for Breakfast, the name Fink has also referred to the recording and touring trio fronted by Greenall himself, completed by Guy Whittaker (bass) and Tim Thornton (drums). Well known for the 2007 song "This is the Thing" and the 2011 album Perfect Darkness. Greenall's skills as a songwriter have created a demand for his talents among fellow artists.

Most recently he has written in collaboration with John Legend, Banks, Ximena Sarinana and Professor Green.
