James Roderick Moir (born 24 January 1959), better known by the stage name Vic Reeves, is an English comedian, artist, actor and television presenter, best known for his double act with Bob Mortimer (see Vic and Bob). He is known for his surreal and non sequitur sense of humour.
In 2003, Reeves and Mortimer were listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy. In a 2005 poll to find the Comedians' Comedian, Reeves and Mortimer were voted the 9th greatest comedy act ever by fellow comedians and comedy insiders.
After school, Reeves undertook an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, before moving to London.
Reeves also formed the Fashionable Five, a group of five friends (including Jack Dent, who ran the original Fan Club) who would follow bands like The Enid and Free onto stage, and perform pranks (including Reeves pretending to have a brass hand, and following a Terry Scott lookalike around Darlington town centre in single file formation). Eventually, they formed their own band. Reeves had an early breakthrough with the help of comedian Malcolm Hardee.
"Black Night" is a song by British hard rock band Deep Purple, first released as a single in June 1970 and later included on the 25th Anniversary version of their 1970 album, In Rock. The song became a hit following its release, peaking at No. 2 on UK charts, and to this day remains Deep Purple's highest charting UK single. It topped the charts in Switzerland, and is one of only two singles from the band to chart in Ireland, peaking at No. 4, thus making it the group's only Irish Top 10 hit. It was also the first single penned by the band.
Once In Rock had been completed, EMI asked for a suitable single to be recorded to help promote the album. Though Roger Glover claims that Ricky Nelson's 1962 hard rocking arrangement of the George Gershwin song, "Summertime", was the basis for the Mk II Deep Purple single "Black Night", it is also similar to Blues Magoos's 1966 psychedelic hit song "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet". In the BBC documentary Heavy Metal Britannia, keyboardist Jon Lord supports Glover's statement about the song's origin, stating "Black Night was nicked from the bass line in Ricky Nelson's Summertime" and then proceeds to play the bassline riff on his grand piano.
Fright Night is the first studio album by power metal band Stratovarius, released in May 1989 through Columbia Records; a remastered edition was reissued in 1993.
Antti J. Ravelin at AllMusic gave Fright Night 2.5 stars out of 5, describing it as lacking variety and criticising the band for not playing particularly well together. He nonetheless recommended the album for fans of 1980s heavy metal and rock, saying that it was an important part of Stratovarius' discography.
All music composed by Timo Tolkki.
"Black Night" is a 1951 song by Charles Brown. The single was the second of two chart entries to make it to number one on the U.S. R&B chart.
Vic (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈbik]) is the capital of the comarca of Osona, in the Barcelona Province, Catalonia, Spain. Vic's location is 69 km from Barcelona and 60 km from Girona. Vic's position has made it one of the most important towns in central Catalonia.
Vic lies in the middle of the Plain of Vic, equidistant from Barcelona and the Pyrenees.
Vic is famous for its persistent fog in winter as a result of a persistent thermal inversion with temperatures as low as -10 °C and an absolute record of -24 °C. Episodes of cold and severe snowstorms are noticeable. In summer, storms are very common during the dry season, typical of the Mediterranean climate of coastal Catalonia. For that reason the natural vegetation includes the pubescent oak typical of the sub-Mediterranean climates of eastern France, Northern Italy and the Balkans.
Vic is of ancient origin. In past times it was called Ausa by the Romans. Iberian coins bearing this name have been found there. The Visigoths called it Ausona. Sewage caps on sidewalks around the city will also read "Vich," an old form of the name.

Dizzy,
i'm so dizzy, my head is spinning
like a whirlpool, it never ends
and it's you girl, making it spin
you're making me dizzy
The first time that i saw you, girl
i knew that i just had to make you mine
but it's so hard to talk to you with fellas
hanging 'round ya all the time
I want you for my sweet pet,
but you keep playing hard to get
you're going round in circle all the time
Dizzy,
i'm so dizzy, my head is spinning
like a whirlpool, it never ends
and it's you girl, making it spin
you're making me dizzy
Finally got to talk to you,
and i told you just exactly how i felt,
then i held you close to me,
and i kissed you, and my heart began to melt
Girl you've got control of me
'cause i'm so dizzy, i can't see
i need to call a doctor for some help
Dizzy,
i'm so dizzy, my head is spinning
like a whirlpool, it never ends
and it's you girl, making it spin
you're making me dizzy, my head is spinning
like a whirlpool, it never ends
and it's you girl, making it spin
you're making me dizzy
I'm dizzy
I'm dizzy
Like a whirlpool
