"Wizard" is a song by Dutch DJs and producers Martin Garrix and Jay Hardway. It was released as a digital download on 2 December 2013 on iTunes. The song has peaked to number 6 in Belgium, number 7 in the United Kingdom and number 17 in the Netherlands. The song was written and produced by Garritsen and Heiblom.

Music video

A music video to accompany the release of "Wizard" was first released onto YouTube on November 19, 2013 at a total length of three minutes and thirty-seven seconds (Included Spinnin' Records promo intro, so the actual length is three minutes and thirty-one seconds). The clip features clips of Garrix and Hardway performing together as well as clips of people dancing to the song. The video currently has over 100 million views. Garrix's Vevo channel had also uploaded its music video on 13 February 2014 but not available for worldwide.

Wizard (1806 – 30 June 1813) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse. He won seven of his ten races, with all his wins coming at Newmarket. In 1809 he won the 2000 Guineas Stakes, before finishing second in the Derby Stakes. The following year he won a match race against his Derby conqueror Pope. Throughout his racing career he was owned by Christopher Wilson and trained by Tom Perren. Wizard only stood as a stallion for two years before dying in an accident in 1813. His son Young Wizard won the Riddlesworth Stakes and was the runner-up in the Derby in 1817.

Background

Wizard was a chestnut colt foaled in 1806 and bred by Mr. Goodison. He was sired by Sorcerer, a successful racehorse and three-time Champion sire in Britain. Amongst Sorcerer's other progeny were 2000 Guineas and Derby winner Smolensko, St. Leger winner Soothsayer and the Oaks winners Morel, Maid of Orleans and Sorcery. Wizard's dam was a daughter of Precipitate. Wizard was the second of her ten foals. He was trained by Tom Perren.

Wizard101 is an MMORPG created by KingsIsle Entertainment. Players take on the role of students of Witchcraft and Wizardry to save the Spiral, the fictional universe in which the game is played and battle enemies by casting spells using a turn-based combat system similar to collectible card games.

The game also has a sister game called Pirate101.

Gameplay

The fictional universe of the Spiral is divided into thirteen worlds, each of which has multiple areas. Players can unlock these temporarily with "memberships", or unlock each area permanently: both of these cost "crowns", the game's premium currency. When a wizard first starts the game, he or she will have to choose a school: Ice, Storm, Fire, Death, Life, Myth, and Balance each complete with their own set of unique spells.

The game is based around "duels": two teams of up to four players or computer enemies take turns to cast spells. Spells can reduce the health of enemy creatures, increase the health of friends, add shields which reduce damage or add blades, traps and buffs which increase it. When a player reduces a computer enemies' health to zero, they are destroyed, while players with a health of zero can be healed by others on their team. When every player or computer on a team has zero health, the other team wins.

In chess, the player who moves first is referred to as "White" and the player who moves second is referred to as "Black". Similarly, the pieces that each conducts are called, respectively, "the white pieces" and "the black pieces". The pieces are often not literally white and black, but some other colors (usually a light color and a dark color, respectively). The 64 squares of the chessboard, which is colored in a checkered pattern, are likewise referred to as "white squares" or "light squares" on the one hand, and "black squares" or "dark squares" on the other. In most cases, the squares are not actually white and black, but a light color and a contrasting dark color. For example, the squares on plastic boards are often off-white ("buff") and green, while those on wood boards are often light brown and dark brown.

In old chess writings, the sides are often called Red and Black, because those were the two colors of ink then commonly available when hand-drawing or printing chess position diagrams.

Black is Lita Ford's sixth studio album and featured a change of style in her music, compared to her other albums. Black sees Ford move into other musical styles such as blues and grunge, while still maintaining her metal and rock roots. There would be a 14-year gap between Black and her next studio album, 2009's Wicked Wonderland.

"Black" is a song by the American rock band Pearl Jam. The song is the fifth track on the band's debut album, Ten (1991). Featuring lyrics written by vocalist Eddie Vedder and music written by guitarist Stone Gossard, "Black" is a soliloquy by a broken-hearted man, who is remembering his absent lover.

After Ten became a commercial success in 1992, Pearl Jam's record label Epic Records urged the group to release the song as a single. The band refused, citing the song's personal nature. Despite the lack of a commercial single release, the song managed to reach number three on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Remixed versions of the song were included on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, Rearviewmirror, and the 2009 Ten reissue.

Origin and recording

The song originated as an instrumental demo under the name "E Ballad" that was written by guitarist Stone Gossard in 1990. It was one of five songs compiled onto a tape called Stone Gossard Demos '91 that was circulated in the hopes of finding a singer and drummer for Pearl Jam. The tape made its way into the hands of vocalist Eddie Vedder, who was working as a San Diego gas station attendant at the time. Vedder recorded vocals for three of the songs on the demo tape ("Alive", "Once", and "Footsteps"), and mailed the tape back to Seattle. Upon hearing the tape, the band invited Vedder to come to Seattle. On his way to Seattle, Vedder wrote lyrics for "E Ballad", which he called "Black".

Uniworld City is the name given to a major township being developed in Rajarhat on the north-eastern fringes of Kolkata, India. The entire project is being developed by Unitech Group, a real estate company in India.
