Bill Atkinson (born 1951) is an American computer engineer and photographer. Atkinson worked at Apple Computer from 1978 to 1990. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, where Apple Macintosh developer Jef Raskin was one of his professors. Atkinson continued his studies as a graduate student in neurochemistry at the University of Washington, nearly getting a PhD .
Atkinson was one of the first thirty members of the original Apple Macintosh development team, and was the creator of the ground-breaking MacPaint application, which fulfilled the vision of using the computer as a creative tool. He also designed and implemented QuickDraw, the fundamental toolbox that the Lisa and Macintosh used for graphics. QuickDraw's performance was essential for the success of the Macintosh's graphical user interface. He also was one of the main designers of the Lisa and Macintosh user interfaces. Atkinson also conceived, designed and implemented HyperCard, the first popular hypermedia system. HyperCard put the power of computer programming and database design into the hands of nonprogrammers. In 1994, Atkinson received the EFF Pioneer Award for his contributions.
William "Bill" Atkinson (21 December 1944 – 24 June 2013) was an English professional footballer who played on the right wing. He played in the Football League for Torquay United, was on the books of Birmingham City without appearing for their first team, and played non-league football for Nuneaton Borough.
Atkinson began his professional football career as an apprentice at Birmingham City, turning professional in March 1962. He remained at St Andrew's for a further two years, but failed to make a single first team appearance.
In June 1964 he moved to Torquay United, scoring on his league debut on 12 September 1964 in a 2-2 draw against Stockport County at Plainmoor. Despite this start to his Torquay career he was soon out of the team again, although did have a good run in the first team later in the season after replacing Peter Anderson in the side.
In 1966, after only 19 league appearances, in which he scored 7 goals, Atkinson returned to the Midlands, joining non-league side Nuneaton Borough. He retired from Non League Football in 1974 – the last Club he played for was Redditch.
William Cecil Glenn Atkinson (born October 4, 1954) is a retired Canadian professional baseball player and a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. The 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m), 165 lb (75 kg) (11 stone 11) right-hander was signed by the Montreal Expos as an amateur free agent on October 4, 1971, and he played for them from 1976 to 1979.

In 1972, Atkinson's first professional season, he was assigned to the Short-Season Jamestown Falcons. He was 3–3 with a 3.60 ERA in 19 games, all in relief.
Atkinson played for the Class-A West Palm Beach Expos in 1973. He was 8–7 with a 3.03 ERA in 35 games, 13 starts.
In 1974 Atkinson was promoted to the Double-A Quebec Carnavals. He complied a record of 7–8 with a 3.70 ERA in 33 games, 20 for starts.
Atkinson continued his climb through the Expos organization in 1975. He was promoted to the Triple-A Memphis Blues where he complied a record of 3–4 with a 2.80 ERA with 5 saves in 49 games, three starts.
Bill Atkinson (12 October 1876 – 26 September 1966) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
