10313 Vanessa-Mae is a minor planet orbiting the Sun. It is named after the Singaporean-British musician Vanessa-Mae.
Vanessa-Mae (born 27 October 1978) is a British violinist with album sales reaching several million, having made her the wealthiest entertainer under 30 in the United Kingdom in 2006. She competed under the name Vanessa Vanakorn (father's surname) for Thailand in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was later banned from skiing because a qualifying race for her benefit was alleged to be corrupt but the Court of Arbitration for Sport nullified the ban, citing lack of evidence for her own wrongdoing or any manipulation.
Vanessa-Mae was born on 27 October 1978 in Singapore, to a Singaporean mother and Thai father. After adoption by a British father, she moved to London at the age of 4 where she picked up the violin, having already started the piano in Singapore. At the age of 8, she embarked upon an intensive period of study with Professor Lin Yao Ji at the National Conservatoire of Music in Beijing. Vanessa-Mae returned to London, a fully-fledged virtuoso, entered London’s Royal College of Music and continued to hone her technique.
The Art of War (Chinese: 孫子兵法; pinyin: Sūnzǐ bīngfǎ; literally: "Master Sun's Rules of Warfare") is an ancient Chinese military treatise dating from the 5th century BC. Attributed to the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu – "Master Sun" (Sunzi or Sun-tzu 孫子), the text is composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare. It is commonly thought of as a definitive work on military strategy and tactics. It was placed at the head of China's Seven Military Classics upon the collection's creation in 1080 by Emperor Shenzong of Song, and has long been the most influential strategy text in East Asia. It has had an influence on Eastern and Western military thinking, business tactics, legal strategy and beyond.
The book was first translated into the French language in 1772 by French Jesuit Jean Joseph Marie Amiot and a partial translation into English was attempted by British officer Everard Ferguson Calthrop in 1905. The first annotated English language translation was completed and published by Lionel Giles in 1910. Leaders as diverse as Mao Zedong, General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Douglas MacArthur and leaders of Imperial Japan have drawn inspiration from the work.

Thomson was replaced by Charles Trippy, and keyboardist Coley O'Tootle was brought in. After parting ways with S-Curve, the group released "Just Keep Breathing" as a single in April 2013. Over the next couple of months, the band released "Find You There" and "Any Other Way" as singles before going on the Summer Fest tour. In late September, the band started a campaign to crowd-fund their next album. They eventually received over $149,000 from 2,309 people. The band recorded in Los Angeles, California, working with Blake Healy, Steve Shebby and David Immerman. The album was announced for release under the name Vitam Regum, before being changed to Somewhere Somehow a week later. "Art of War" was released as a single in early December.
Somewhere Somehow was released on December 16 through Ozone Entertainment and We the Kings. Following a U.S. tour in March 2014 the group toured Japan and Australia, before joining Warped Tour. A music video was released for "That Feeling" in mid January 2015. Somewhere Somehow charted at number 44 on Billboard 200, and reached the top 10 on several other Billboard charts. It also charted at number 88 in the UK, and in the top 20 on several UK charts. Critical reception was mixed.

Mae is an American rock band that formed in Norfolk, Virginia in 2001. The band's name is an acronym for "Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience", based on a course taken by drummer Jacob Marshall while a student at Old Dominion University.
Jacob Marshall and Dave Elkins began what would become Mae by writing their first song, "Embers and Envelopes", in Marshall's living room. The band signed with Tooth and Nail Records and released their first album, Destination: Beautiful, in 2003. They released their second full-length album, The Everglow, in 2005. The band toured extensively to promote it, and also performed on the Vans Warped Tour. Mae re-released The Everglow in 2006, adding three new songs and a two-hour DVD.
Later in 2006, the band signed to Capitol Records for their third full-length album. Mae began recording the album in the fall of 2006, working with producer Howard Benson (who has produced albums for Saosin, My Chemical Romance, Blindside, and Relient K). The album, titled Singularity, was released on August 14, 2007. On June 19, 2007, the band released the first single from Singularity, "Sometimes I Can't Make It Alone".
