Adam Pearson (born 19 November 1964) is the owner of Hull F.C. rugby league club, and Executive Director of Leeds United. He is the former chairman of English association football club Derby County, Chairman (2001-7 & 2009-10) and Head of Football Operations (2010–12) at Hull City and a former member of the Sheffield Wednesday footballing committee.

Career

Born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Pearson left his position as Leeds United's commercial director in 2001 to purchase Hull City and take over as chairman. At the time, Leeds were one of the country's most ambitious, big-spending Premier League clubs, while Hull were in administration and languishing at the bottom end of the Third Division of the Football League. But by the time Pearson left Hull in 2007, he had seen Hull promoted twice, moving up to the Championship.

Pearson was also Head of the Stadium Management Company, which operates the KC Stadium, the home of Hull City and rugby league side Hull. But on 11 June 2007 at 12:00 midday, it was announced at a press conference broadcast live on BBC Radio Humberside that Pearson had sold the club and the SMC to a consortium consisting of Paul Duffen, Russell Bartlett and Martin Walker. It was confirmed that Paul Duffen would take over as Chairman, but Pearson would remain on the board of directors to provide continuity. However, on 31 July 2007 he resigned from the board, thus severing all ties with the club.

Adam Pearson (born 1984) is a British actor known for his role in the 2013 movie Under the Skin. He has neurofibromatosis and has been involved in outreach programs to prevent bullying associated with deformities.

Early life

Pearson was born in 1984. After a fall at the age of five, Pearson discovered a scar would not heal. He was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (type one) which causes non-cancerous tumours to grow on nerve tissue. The condition affects 1 in 3,000. Fifty per cent of cases are hereditary, Pearson falls into the remaining 50%, which are caused by spontaneous mutations.

Pearson has been a victim of bullying throughout his life.

Career

Pearson graduated from Brighton University with a degree in business management. He worked various jobs in television production for the BBC and Channel 4 including the shows The Undateables and Beauty and the Beast.

In 2013, he was cast alongside Scarlett Johansson in Jonathan Glazer's film Under the Skin. He has said that he hopes the role will challenge disfigurement stigma.

Adam is a common masculine given name.

Fictional character biography

Adam is the darklord of Lamordia. Known as Mordenheim's Monster or the Creature, he is an extremely intelligent and nimble dread flesh golem, based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Adam is the most successful creation of Dr. Victor Mordenheim in his research into the creation of life, albeit the one that causes him grief unmeasured. Adam reduced the doctor's wife Elise to a vegetative state and apparently murdered their adopted daughter Eva.

The two are inextricably bound together: Dr. Mordenheim has Adam's immortality, and in return Adam shares the doctor's anguish.

Usually hidden from sight, Adam is believed to spend most of his time on the Isle of Agony, part of the archipelago known as the Finger.
