Angel Guts: Red Classroom (天使のはらわた 赤い教室, Tenshi No Harawata Akai Kyoshitsu) is a 1979 Japanese film directed by Chūsei Sone and released by the Nikkatsu studio as part of their Roman porno line. It is the second in the Angel Guts film series, based on a manga by Takashi Ishii.
Synopsis
Writer Muraki becomes obsessed with a porn starlet, Nami, while doing a feature story on her. They begin a short romance after he discovers that Nami was an unwilling participant and that the rape sequence in the porn film was real. When he finds her again years later, she has descended into prostitution.

Background
Although this is the second in the Angel Guts series from Nikkatsu, it is the first written by Takashi Ishii and introduces Muraki and Nami as names for the main characters in the series. Ishii's interest was in exploring the relationships between men and women and especially how men view women. Muraki in this film has trouble distinguishing between his idealized image of Nami and her reality.
Angel Guts (天使のはらわた, Tenshi no Harawata) is a nine-film series of pink films produced between 1978 and 1994. The Nikkatsu Corporation was responsible for the production of the majority of the series. In accordance with the "pink film" genre, the prevalent theme in the series is sex, but violence is also featured prominently in the films. Angel Guts is based on the manga series written by Takashi Ishii.
In a public comment on the Angel Guts series, director Noboru Tanaka pointed out the various directorial styles exhibited in the films: "...all five versions are different. Mine is very energetic and it looks like you could burn yourself if you touch it, whilst the others are calmer and gentler. I think the audience shouldn't be bored by this series of films."
