Celebrate! is the twelfth studio album by R&B/funk band, Kool & the Gang. Released in 1980, the album reached #1 on the US R&B chart and #10 on the Billboard 200. The album produced perhaps Kool & The Gang's most recognizable hit song, the #1 chart-topper, "Celebration", which still receives heavy play today over three decades later.

"Celebrate" was the Swiss entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, performed in English by Piero Esteriore & The MusicStars. It was the second-ever Swiss entry to be performed in English after "Djambo, Djambo" by Peter, Sue and Marc in 1976.

Due to Switzerland missing the 2003 contest, the country was forced to participate in the semi final of the 2004 contest. here, it performed third in the running order, following Belarus' Aleksandra & Konstantin with "My Galileo" and preceding Latvia's Fomins & Kleins "Dziesma par laimi". During the performance, lead singer Piero accidentally hit himself in the face with the microphone. The song went on to receive no points from the 32 countries voting in the semi-final, coming 22nd and last. This therefore makes "Celebrate" one of the least successful Eurovision entries of all time, and the first song ever to receive zero points in the semifinals era.

The song was succeeded as Swiss representative at the 2005 contest by Vanilla Ninja with "Cool Vibes".

Khalifa is the sixth studio album by American rapper Wiz Khalifa. It was released on February 5, 2016, by Atlantic Records, Rostrum Records and Taylor Gang Records. It is his first album of original material since Blacc Hollywood (2014). The album features guest appearances from Travi$ Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Rico Love, Courtney Noelle, Juicy J, Chevy Woods, J.R Donato and his son Sebastian.

The album was supported by the lead single "Bake Sale" featuring Travi$ Scott.

The album's lead single, "Bake Sale" featuring Travis Scott, was released for purchase and streaming on January 21, 2016. It was produced by TM88, Juicy J, Lex Luger, DJ Spinz and Crazy Mike. In December 2015, Wiz Khalifa previewed the track and then announced that it would be included on his album Khalifa. The instrumental for the song originally appeared in the song "Order More" by G-Eazy, included on his album When It's Dark Out (2015). Due to ownership issues, Juicy J recreated the beat on the song for Wiz Khalifa, along with the co-producers. On the chart dated on February 13, it debuted and peaked at number 56 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

"Celebrate" is a song by British singer and songwriter Mika. It was released as the lead single of his third studio album, The Origin of Love (2012), in the United Kingdom, Europe and America, and the second single in France. The song features American singer Pharrell Williams. It was written by Mika, Williams and Ben Garrett and produced by Peter Hayes and Nick Littlemore.

The song received generally favorable reviews from music critics. Some called it a "great summer song" and praised Pharrell for giving another dimension to Mika's vocals. However, some critics dismissed Mika's processed vocals and the song's rhythm. The song has charted on the French Singles Chart and on the Belgium Charts, but failed to chart on the UK Singles Chart.

Background and release

After the release of "Elle me dit" in 2011, only in French-speaking countries, Mika unveiled a music video for the song "Make You Happy", which is not a single, but is included on The Origin of Love. Later, on 14 July 2012, Mika previewed a 30-second clip of the song. It was uploaded to Amazon ahead of its official unveiling and was later removed from the online store. The song was released on 15 June 2012.

Celebrate is the second album from American singer James Durbin. The album was released on April 8, 2014. The first single from the album, "Parachute", was released on November 22, 2013.

Critical reception

Glenn Gamboa of Newsday gave the album a B grade, saying "James Durbin made a name on American Idol as a hard rocker with a big voice, but on his sophomore album [...] he tries out all sorts of musical styles. His current single, "Parachute," is a straight-up pop-rock winner, following in the footsteps of Daughtry, as he sings the catchy hook "Jump! Jump! Jump! Without my parachute" to approximate falling in love. The ballad "Issues" could have come from the latest One Direction album, a more metallic-tinged "Story of My Life." That doesn't mean Durbin has given up rocking out, though, as the rumbling "Louder Than a Loaded Gun" shows."

The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 83. It also debuted in three other Billboard charts: No. 14 on Top Rock Albums, No. 21 on Top Internet Albums, and No. 78 on Top Current Albums. It sold 4,000 copies in its debut week.
