Interstate 80 Business, called the Capital City Freeway in its entirety, is a business loop of Interstate 80 through Sacramento. Although signed as a business loop the route is actually two connected segments. The western segment is signed as U.S. Route 50 and carries the unsigned designation of Interstate 305. The unsigned designation of the eastern segment is State Route 51. The entire route is a freeway, and carried mainline Interstate 80 through Sacramento until the early 1980s. Portions of the eastern half were initially grandfathered into the Interstate Highway system; however, plans to upgrade or realign this portion to meet Interstate Highway standards were cancelled. As such, the I-80 designation through Sacramento was moved to a northern bypass of the city that had previously been signed Interstate 880, and the old route of I-80 through downtown was given the current business loop designation.

Western section

Business 80 begins in West Sacramento at Interstate 80, where I-80 leaves the West Sacramento Freeway onto the Beltline Freeway (which travels north of the Bryte neighborhood, over the Sacramento River, and into the Natomas area). This interchange in West Sacramento is also the current west end of U.S. Route 50 and the west end of the unsigned I-305.

South Carolina Highway 51 (SC 51) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It is unique for being signed in two different locations in the state; the first section from Georgetown to Florence, the second section in Fort Mill.

Route description

The first SC 51 begins at US 701 near Georgetown, goes northwest and ends at US 76 in Florence and concurrency with SC 41. Majority of the route is a two-lane rural road, except through Hemingway, Johnsonville, and Florence, where it has four lanes.

The second SC 51 is a short 1-mile-long (1.6 km) road that starts at US 21 and ends at the North Carolina state line, continuing on as NC 51 through Pineville. The route is only 2-lane, expanding to 4-lane at the state line.

History

Established as a new routing in either 1925 or 1926; the original route ran from SC 40 (today as US 701) along Choppee Road to Hemmingway then onto Florence, ending at SC 41 (current US 52-301). The route was fully paved by 1939. In the early 1960s, the SC 51 was rerouted as a concurrency with SC 41 from Hemmingway to Rhems, then to US 701 near Georgetown. In 1978, SC 51 was extended in Florence to US 76.

U.S. Route 322 (US 322) is a U.S. highway running from Cleveland, Ohio east to Atlantic City, New Jersey. The easternmost segment of the route in New Jersey runs 62.64 miles (100.81 km) from the Commodore Barry Bridge over the Delaware River in Logan Township, Gloucester County, where it continues southeast to Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue in Atlantic City, Atlantic County. The portion of the route between the Commodore Barry Bridge and Route 42 is mostly a two-lane undivided road that is concurrently signed with County Route 536, passing through Mullica Hill and Glassboro. From Williamstown, US 322 follows the Black Horse Pike, a four-lane road, southeast to Atlantic City. In Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, US 322 forms a concurrency with U.S. Route 40, continuing with that route all the way to Atlantic City. US 322 intersects several major roads including U.S. Route 130 and Interstate 295 in Logan Township, the New Jersey Turnpike in Woolwich Township, Route 55 in Harrison Township, Route 42 in Williamstown, Route 50 and U.S. Route 40 in Hamilton Township, the Garden State Parkway in Egg Harbor Township, and U.S. Route 9 in Pleasantville.

Route 51 is a highway in southeastern Missouri. Its northern terminus is the Illinois state line near Chester, Illinois; its southern terminus is at the Arkansas state line northwest of Piggott, Arkansas. It continues into Illinois as Illinois Route 150 and it continues into Arkansas as Highway 139.

Route 51 is one of the original 1922 state highways and ran from the Mississippi River to Advance.

Route 51A, a branch route, formerly connected Route 51 with Puxico when Route 51 ended at Advance (at Route 25). Route 51A would become part of the main highway when it was re-routed and extended.

State Route 51 (SR 51) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known as Westover Drive, the state highway runs 6.20 miles (9.98 km) between a pair of intersections with U.S. Route 58 Business (US 58 Business) in Pittsylvania County west of Danville and within Danville. SR 51 is the original alignment of US 58 through the western part of Danville.

Route description

SR 51 begins at a directional intersection on a tangent with US 58 Business (Martinsville Highway) in Pittsylvania County just west of the city of Danville. The state highway heads east into the independent city as a four-lane undivided highway that passes through the city's residential Westover Hills area. SR 51 parallels the north side of US 58 Business as the former highway follows the height of land between the Dan River to the south and the Sandy River to the north. East of Piedmont Drive, the state highway enters a commercial area where the highway reaches its eastern terminus at US 58 Business (Riverside Drive) a short distance west of the confluence of the two rivers.

New York State Route 51 (NY 51) is a state highway in the central part of New York state. The highway runs generally in a southwest to northeast direction from the hamlet of Mount Upton to the village of Ilion. NY 51 is a two-lane highway its entire length.

As NY 51 approaches the northern border of Otsego County, it makes a sharp left before descending to US 20 to the west in West Winfield. A 2.8-mile (4.5 km) concurrency carries it back to the original path where it again heads northward. Then, at Cedarville, it turns left and then right to use a different route, from thence it descends through the winding Ilion Gorge until it reaches Ilion, where it is known as Otsego Street.

After crossing the Mohawk River/Erie Canal, NY 51 ends at NY 5 at a trumpet interchange.

Mount Upton to Burlington Flats

NY 51 begins at an intersection with NY 8 and Chenango County Route 37 (CR 37) in the hamlet of Mount Upton (in the town of Guilford). NY 51 proceeds east through Mount Upton as a two-lane continuation of CR 37, passing multiple residences in Mount Upton. Just after, the route crosses the Unadilla River and leave Chenango County for Otsego County. Now in the town of Butternuts, reaching a junction with the southern terminus of CR 18, NY 51 winds northeast through town a two-lane rural roadway through the town.
