Kagoshima
Kagoshima (鹿児島 Kagoshima) is a large Japanese port city on the southern island of Kyushu, and is on the coastline of Kagoshima Bay.
History

Heisei era
Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla
Whilst tracking SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla enters Kagoshima through Kagoshima Bay. Hatsuyuki- and Haruna-class destroyers attack Godzilla, but he blows up the Haruna-class with a blast of his atomic breath. AH-1 Cobras also fly around Godzilla, and some of them fire at him, but he ignores them. MOGUERA is then sent in by air to engage Godzilla, but their pilots decide to follow Godzilla instead, as they realize that he is headed on a direct course across Kyushu to Fukuoka, where SpaceGodzilla has just touched down.
Millennium era
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack
After emerging from her cocoon at Lake Ikeda, Mothra flew over Kagoshima as she made her way to Yokohama to confront Godzilla.
