EMP Probe Targets Godzilla Filius Launched from Powered Suits First appearance GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters

EMP Probes (ＥＭＰプローブ,   Ī Emu Pī Purōbu) are devices that appear in the 2017 animated Godzilla film, GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters. They were ultimately used in killing Godzilla Filius, and were later succeeded by the EMP Harpoon in an attempt to serve the same purpose against the comparatively much larger Godzilla Earth.

As part of the plan to kill Godzilla Filius, the force that landed on Earth used Powered Suits to inject Godzilla with the EMP Probes which succeeded in killing the beast.

• The EMP Probes are one of several rocket drill weapons to appear in the Godzilla franchise, along with the Showa Mechagodzilla's High Pressure Homing toe missiles, the delivery system for the Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria in Godzilla vs. Biollante, MOGUERA's Spiral Grenade Missiles in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, and the D-03 Missiles in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.
• The concept of a rocket drill was tested and even demonstrated several times in real life by Russian engineers.
