What an amazing classroom activity. #dataviz in real time. Here's a bar chart of the data.pic.twitter.com/0hcyAHdX81

Excellent work.

Great virtual visualization but I still prefer the originial manual one. This one easily shows the relative difference between various apps’ notifications, but the original one is great at showing the sheer insane absolute number coming through in such a short period of time.
-
100% -- you can just imagine the frantic pace of data collection as kids shoutout the source of each notification!

Great critical thinking, will serve them well when solution planning in the real world. Half my work day is dealing with “work arounds”

Wanted to add a story of kids sharing a google doc that they could all update in real time (no notifications) instead of group texts. It looked like school work and took me a while to catch on to them, but I had to tip my hat, I said no texting, they didn’t text.
-
I used to do that with my best friend. She was constantly grounded and it was the only way I could communicate with her for years

Not sure I believe this purely because there are more than zero phone calls
-
Robocalls
-
Not even a joke, dude. 98% of calls to my phone don't leave a voicemail, and probably more than half of those are spoofing my area code and middle 3 digits.
-
Just one of the many great things this new administration has brought us by loosening regulations on robocalls to cell phones
-
My prediction is that we will reach a point where spammers are gridlocking voice channels so badly that the phone companies themselves (or local municipalities) sue to have it dealt with.
-
Phone companies can stop it any time they please. They know the true originating number of every single incoming call. That they permit spoofing at all... it should have been shut down back when it started.
