Story:
People are always plagued by personal demons manifested in the form of anxiety, scruples, bitterness and addictions, that prevent them from seeing anything else, and become blind. This is a story about purification of the soul. Our hero, the "Master Chef Sushi", rises to the occasion embarking on a journey, from island to island, to help others regain their perspective and taste for life.

Design:
Two modes are available at first play: "Adventure" and "Quick Battle". There are over 40 levels in the "Adventure" mode. During your adventure, you can unlock many other modes, such as "Challenge", "Shop" and "Book Of Cook". Some of these levels must be bought in the "shop", which may be purchased using "fish" that you have caught and won in the game. With progress, you can fish on the islands, and also win fish after being successful in a battle. What fishes can I get here? A Whale? A Shark? Are they possible? My answer is YES! You can fish various fishes from tiny to huge. You can also sell your own recipes back to the shop for half-price. Keep in mind: you cannot sell the very last recipe of a category after the category has been opened in the adventure mode. You can view your condition and statics in the "Profile" menu. The stars in the sky tell you how many islands you have played.

"Chop Sushi!" promises some unique, cartoonish graphics and off-the-wall humor, alongside an enchanting fantasy storyline as you wander the islands challenging opponents and fishing to gain the "current" in this game. The graphics are very good in some versions and the cute characters have different emotions in different statuses. It should be noted that this feature differs from handset to handset. You can only see it in some versions. Even a high-end Nokia S60 3rd Edition version can be cut down! Because of this, so many players may not see the changing of mood from pre-battle to post-battle. The innocent emotions are so cute when you are fighting against more than 1 opponent. It would be really a shame to miss this. The most obvious difference is the backgrounds on the islands and during battles. You can see "Sakura", "Buildings", "Sea Birds", "Vending Machine", "Penguins", "the Moon", etc., which are just as those shown in the preview videos. In these better versions, Master Chef Sushi wanders from continent to continent, from Earth to other planets. Sometimes you can even see "Comets". While in the plain versions, there's only grass.

A Note to the Developer: A game is not only to be played, it also needs to be appreciated. Without good graphics, how can we enjoy the play time?

The music throughout the game is of Chinese style, which also matches the "Chop" theme. (Though Sushi is from Japan. Chopsticks are original from China. ) But the music plays only once, which means there's no sound for about 2 minutes.

Gameplay:
Different items on the board have different effects. You pickup the items using the "Chopsticks". When an item is picked up, it can be moved up, down, left and right. When moving, the item needs to create a Match-Of-3 or more. When your move cannot create a match, you will be told, "Clumsy Chopsticks: Illegal Move!", and you can have another attempt. You can get extra moves when you create a Match-Of-4, Match-Of-5 or create multiple matches at the same time. Since the game is a turn-based battle puzzle, you can fight against your opponents and reduce the their HP by matching "Wasabis". The injures can also be multiplied by matching a "number-marked" Wasabi. Master Chef can become stronger and more powerful with "Level-ups": Experience is gained from winning and matching "Fugu", or "Fish" when it is available, as well. You can see many stones among the sushi. They are the only items that cannot be matched. When there are no more matches left to create, the stones will free version to reveal hidden items inside them and the entire board will be reshuffled.

Gameplay of the "Challenge" mode is different from regular battles. You must clear the board before running out of turns. When completing challenges for the first time, EXP is given as a reward. What I must tell you is that, some challenges are hidden in the "Ocean".

In the "Book Of Cook", you can learn some extra "attacks", "curing methods" or "traps". But be aware of one thing, these can be used by your opponents as well, so you should think several movements in advance before you start your turn.. In fact, this tip is a must during the adventure mode, or you will be defeated by yourself, instead of your opponents.

Conclusion:
It's not the first time that Universomo has combined classic "casual games" with "battle" ideas. In the game "Puzzle Quest Warlords", we have seen this feature, which makes the whole game more playable. Universomo keeps their great graphic style and excellent design in this Sushi-themed Match-3 genre game. After all, Sushi must be eaten with chopsticks. By means of chopsticks, you can taste the original flavor of the Sushi.
