About the Hosts
Alex Dainis, Ph.D., is a science communicator with a PhD in genetics. Her work uses digital video to make science accessible and engaging to broad audiences. She is a graduate of Stanford where she received her PhD in genetics and as well as a graduate of Brandeis University where she received her Bachelor’s in Biology. As the owner of Helicase Media, her initiatives aim to create engaging science content that is educational and digestible.
George Zaidan is an author, freelance host, and producer who serves as the owner of Free Energy Productions. His book Ingredients explains the chemistry behind what we put into our body down to processed food to sunscreen. He has worked with numerous brands including The Weather Channel, Ted-Ed Educator, NBC, MIT, and National Geographic.
Sam Jones - Same Jones, Ph.D., is the host of the American Chemical Society podcast Tiny Matters and former Host of the PBS Digital Studios series Reactions. Serving as a science writer for the ACS, she uses her expertise from her former work as a molecular biologist and internship with Calit2.
