But yes, I love Mor!

I operate on the philosophy that you can love and hate a character at the same time for many different reasons, in and outside of canon, and it doesn’t make you less or better of a fan. Of course, you can certainly love or hate them for whatever particular reason or no reason at all. But myself? I like being somewhere in the middle, constantly shifting. It’s more fun to me.

I love Cassian, but do I hate him (85% of the time) and want to call him Casserole every chance I get? Yes. I like Feysand, sure. They’re romance was good in their books, they had a lot of potential, but do I hate them and think they’re annoying at many instances? Yes. Do I find Rhys to be interesting at the same time that he’s badly written? Yes. Mor is the same way. She’s so interesting, but do I think she’s both badly written and not given her due diligence? For sure. Do I think she’s a likable character? Debatable. Depends towards what character. But she’s so fun haha. Both in her pettiness and in her righteousness. She’s got the potential of being a fairly complex character. The foundation of her is good. Not morally, I don’t give a shit about that, but in being well-rounded. Well-rounded is good. This is why Elain is conundrum to me, because there’s not much to love or hate. Azriel, too. They’re characters in limbo, like give me more content before I can decide what to love and what to hate and what to find fascinating. Otherwise I have to fill gaps with canon, and that’s a lot of work. 

I have different percentages for my love and hate that shift everyday, depending on my mood and unfortunately this book series is just one that doesn’t have a clear answer for any situation even the most minute and so I won’t either.

So, basically we stan/hate Mor in this house… and pretty much every character to a certain degree. I’m a Pro-ti. Pro-ant? Antpro?
