Cute Nessian Post

Because we all know we need some happy times following this book and long year

-If Nesta and Cassian had a mixture between a human and an Illyrian wedding and feed each other, at the same time, cake to accept the bond ceremoniously and maybe doing this alone first because you know that bond (wink wink)

-If Cassian built or had someone build a house for him and Nesta on the Illyrian Steppes or maybe a little farther away, and surprises her with it, and saying its hers. As an acknowledgement that she fits in with their culture and have some place to belong and be loved. And telling her, that it doesn’t mean he has to live with her, that she can take her time, and her replying by hugging him and holding him close. He feels how grateful she is and the emotions that sometimes overwhelms her and squeezes her tighter. Of course they christen the house (wink wink)

-Feyre gifting them a painting of the two of them, where Cassian is holding Nesta and they’re both smiling wide and truly happy.

-Cassian cooking food every time Nesta feels even slightly bad, especially on those harder days where the nightmares are too much. Idk I think Nesta would love Cassian’s food and would want it all the time, but she’[s especially comforted by it when she feels bone tired. I imagine she likes his soup the most.

-Nesta earning a place in the ranks of Illyrians and being loved by the people. learning the culture and language (I mean I feel like they have a language or different dialects, I always imagine Spanish but I’m partial to it)  and making friends with the women of this culture and maybe that’s really more important for Nesta than making soldiers out of them. I can see them snickering at them when they argue and shipping them behind their backs. Also being not at all surprised when they finally get together.

-The inner circle being really awkward when they both come back from their “long trip away”/ intervention and finding that they became friends and have some sort of bond that they don’t know what to do with. But end up being really happy that they both seem happier and more whole and alive and well-loved.

-Traveling together, maybe getting a dog (if dogs exist) or an equivalent.

-Nesta buying out that crappy apartment and renovating it and fixing the slums that Velaris really shouldn’t have. But not being judgmental at all to the people who live there and instead wanting to help those who need it and accept those who many judge. I feel like Nesta, with good mental health, would be the kindest person in the world, and would look out for the weaker man. Because someone needs to.

-Cassian and Nesta creating, at the start, a sanctuary for orphans and women, but end up housing different people of different sections and welcoming anyone who wants to be free and happy and have peace. If they started a city I feel like everyone would be well-known and well-loved and there wouldn’t even be a thing of social status.

-Food fights, dont know why, but I feel like they’d have many.

-One of them getting hurt, and then ending up sitting up together, on the bed, playing board or card games so the other doesn’t get bored.

-Cassian being dragged to the book store, but being really happy to see Nesta so carefree and relaxed, and taking a general interest in the books that she is interested in.

-Nesta reading out loud to Cassian, both naughty (wink wink) and nice (laughs, cries, etc)

-Cassian leaving notes in Nesta’s books for her to find when he is away

-Cassian combing Nesta’s hair, Nesta braiding Cassian’s

-Finding love in each other, going on adventures and facing their fears with each other. Never giving up on the other, and eventually realizing that they have come so far as individuals and can be with each other wholly and completely and happily.

Add you own <3

I’m not that worried about Nesta’s fate tbh

Mostly because I remember reading Crown of Midnight and being like ugh this is gross (I hated that second book) but with Heir of Fire I thought SJM handled Aelin’s mental health really well and though many points were problematic in the book, it ended up being generally enlightening and great character development for Aelin and made up a lot of who she is now. In the same respect, I think she’ll handle Nesta the same way. I’m not sure how she’ll go about it but there’s a lot of different options she can go with and I’m really excited for the next book after ACOFAS.
