UMO was established in 1997 in reply to the rapid development of the Polish Armed Forces and Polish Government Agencies combined with our country’s growing requirement for advanced military and police technologies. The company quickly rose to become one of the market leaders for specialized military hardware. Our primary market focus is the Polish Special Operations Command and Special Police Units.

Because of the nature of our activities, UMO holds a full government concession allowing the company to engage in all activities associated with the defense trade. Moreover we were awarded the certificates required to fulfill our business role: ISO 9001:2008, AQAP 2120:2009 and WSK. Additionally, in order to remain in accordance with the domestic and foreign legal requirements we are a registered Lobbyist at the Polish Parliament and a US Department of State Registered Broker.

We believe that business transparency and countering corrupt activities is the key to economic growth. Due to this since 2012 UMO is a member of TRACE International.

Currently UMO represents over 20 foreign defense businesses on the Polish market.
