Vegan Turkish Food

If you’ve been following me for a while you know I love Turkish food having spent loads of time there over the last two decades (and if you scroll back you’ll see a mini series I filmed in my parents house over there)

Menemen is a very nostalgic dish for me and one that is super easy to veganise into a high protein, tasty plant-based dish.

To make, you need:

1 green or Turkish pepper, diced
1 white onion, diced
4 tomatoes, diced
1 clove garlic, diced
1tbsp tomato paste
1tbsp biber salcasi aka red pepper paste (sub for extra tomato paste if you don’t have)
Salt and pepper
1tbsp olive oil
25g vegan butter
1/2 cup water

For the egg:
