I like the idea of having a calming kit basket because it allows you to either designate a calming space or the child can take the kit to a safe space at their choosing. Teacher 🍎 on Instagram: "FAQs ⬇️  ⭐️ My classroom is an area resource base attached to a mainstream primary school in Cornwall  ⭐️ In this classroom we have 11 children, 8 assistants and 1 teacher at any one time.  ⭐️ All pupils are aged between 5-11 years  ⭐️ 2/11 children are PMLD   8/11 are autistic   All children have learning disabilities  ⭐️ I have taught SEN for 13 years amd have worked with around 400 pupils aged 3-19yrs over that time  ⭐️ I wrote our 4 year rotating sensory curriculum, adapting pre-existing topics, linking with the mainstream school, just in our own way.
