I visited Egypt many years ago and found it fascinating. I even had an amusing encounter when a local man offered to take a picture of my husband and me, only to demand payment before returning the camera! Thankfully, a local soldier stepped in to sort it out. Happy times. Standing near the Sphinx, exploring the pyramids, and venturing inside one of the great tombs was unforgettable.
