The item I bought was promised for next day and it came the next day. Altogether a straightforward transaction. Will buy from this company again.
Cant fault service and product, excellent communication and good price for laptop. Delivered next day on time. Many thanks
The order was processed very fast order was done on a Fri and arrived Sat.
I did not like that DHL was used for the service, there is no collections points like ebay, Amazon, Vinted ect all have facilities to collect from a local shop or post office. Thus I had to wait in for a home delivery as they only give a days windows.
The service could be improved with local drop points as other service providers.
Laptops direct promotions was buy a phone and get a smart watch offer, the smart watch was processed by the manufacture till Jan 25, though this was more to with smart watch manufacture, than Laptops Direct and may have been easier if this was an automated process done by laptops direct to the manufacture.
Laptops direct offered, a good deal and phone was delivered as advertised within 24hrs of purchase. Apart from delivery and claiming the smart watch all seemed to go ok and I would recommend them

To summarize my current situation, this company is handling my case completely unfairly and unprofessionally. I purchased a PC off them about a month ago, it arrived a day late, when I opened the box to inspect the PC I was sent, I realized quickly I was sent the wrong PC as it looked nothing like what was advertised on the website. I returned the PC to them but it was an extremely stressful process. I was told to submit photos as proof that I was sent the wrong PC, I had to submit the photos multiple times. It was only after I called that the photos were deemed sufficient. I talked to one of their technicians, and he confirmed that I was indeed sent the incorrect PC. I followed their return process. They received the PC and now claim that I was sent the correct PC and that I can only receive a partial refund as they claim that I caused damage to the PC I sent back to them and that I have to cover the restoking fee and collection fee too. I obviously disputed it and didn't agree to their solution as it it completely unfair to me. I have photos and screenshots proving that I'm not at fault for any of their claims. I am now waiting for my bank to deal with this issue properly for me as it is clear this company has no respect for me as a customer. I wish I could attach photos and screenshots onto this review to show how blatantly obvious it is that I was sent the incorrect PC. If I could I would give them zero stars. They also keep calling and emailing me to agree to their unfair solution. This is completely unprofessional even after I told them that I can't take calls between 8am to 6pm.

Poor Customer Service
Ordered several laptops and upon delivery, we opened one to notice that it has the wrong OS installed, so we called customer service and advised the situation etc.
Took a week to get a return label sent through which was never received so had to manually write it on and sort out my own courier to return the item with no reimbursement on that cost.
Despite keeping the open laptop there was still a restock value despite pointing out several facts about this not being in the personal purchase T&C's they were reluctant to help, will not use this business again and will refer family and friends to other businesses for any electrical equipment purchases.

Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service
I ordered a laptop which obviously came with a charger. The charger stopped working very soon after receipt. I was asked to change the fuse in the plug - which didn't resolve the problem. Therefore, the charger had to be returned but Laptops Direct insisted that the laptop be returned alongside the charger, even though the laptop wasn't faulty. I couldn't be without the laptop as I was using it for work so I've had to buy a replacement charger.

Avoid trading in old laptops
I sent an old laptop to Laptops Direct for a cash trade-in. I put in the spec and condition information I was told that I would receive £38 cash value. When they examined the item I was told mark across unit & CPU older than 10 years and the value had been reduced to £0. It was in good condition when it was sent and the CPU had been stated when I entered the spec details on their site. I read other reviews with similar issues. Not impressed. Just wanted to let other know how they operate.

Delivery scam
Was a little sceptical of ordering from here having seen some other reviews relating to orders/ delivery issues, but decided to go ahead as the price was cheaper than elsewhere.
Ordered some Airpods for £190 and was annoyed to have to pay £9.99 for delivery (promised next day, cheapest delivery within a week is £6.99)
Today upon been asked to track my item, I log in to see it's not even been processed. I ring the EXPENSIVE premium rate hotline and after being put through many drawn out menus and transferred 3 times around the Indian call centre am finally told my item has not been processed yet as the delivery address is different to my registered address (away this week on business).
Checked my credit card statement and can see the payment HAS been taken at the time of making my order. After around half an hour on premium rate phone number I'm asked security to confirm the original address and looked up on the electoral register. They then tell me the payment has now been processed. I ask for a refund of £9.99 on my next day delivery payment, they refuse saying it's my fault for trying to get my items delivered to a different address!!
Still sat on hold now waiting for a "manager". My order still showing as "In Progress" online too.
Save yourself the hassle and order from a reputable site. I wish I'd never done business here and I haven't even had my order dispatched yet!
Will update should my order ever turn up. AVOID AVOID AVOID
EDIT: Today I get an email from the company telling me my "parcel has been delayed due to an unexpected issue" - so me making sure I am in to receive the parcel today is a complete waste of time and money. I now do not have a confirmed delivery date. Care to comment on this Dyann?

The WiFi on the laptop struggled to connect with multiple WiFi connections. The laptop was sent back for repair. I decided that I no longer wanted the laptop based on Laptops Direct telling me there wasn't a fault. I then had the privilege of being charged £20 to send to back.
Terrible company and will never had a penny out of me or my company again moving forward.

Truthfully
Truthfully. Great products, and great advice.
Ultimately soured that the phone call I made to them to place an order of over £1000+vat cost me in the region of £30 due to call charges. To note, that phone call, looking back, it’s now clear and obvious that the salesperson keeps you on the phone for as long as they can talking about topics totally unrelated to the purchase.
The £30 isn’t the point. At no point when finding their number on the website, or during the call do they say this. Had I known, I’d of just ordered online.
In the market for the same items again, and 2 laptops. Safe to say I won’t be purchasing from Laptops Direct.

They sell you a broken laptop and then say it’s nothing to do with them: “it’s a software issue, that’s not our problem”.

Expensive return for a faulty monitor
We ordered a monitor that ended up being not sharp on either side and the USB C port on the back was not delivering power. We were on hold for 90 minutes the first time we reported the issues.
First we were told the monitor could not be returned because it had been "used", it only be returned as "unwanted" and we would be charged 20% restocking fee. We were told to pack it in its original packaging and send it back asap. During the same call we were then transferred to technical customer service.
There we were told we needed to take a video to show the fault otherwise we could not return it. Then we were transferred back and the call got disconnected.
On the next attempt we were told the monitor would be picked up and they would refund us possibly after investigation. Only to then be called back 5 minutes later and being told that the return had been cancelled and we had to ship it on our own cost.
Bottom line, we had to ship this faulty monitor back for £80 and they then deducted £20 restocking fee. UNBELIEVABLE!

Very poor customer service who don't communicate
I purchased a PC in December 2023 for my partners autistic son who was turning 8. He games and is home educated so I needed something mid-range and adaptable to both. Having used laptops direct in the past and having no issues, I opted to go with them again.
The item itself was delivered the second week of January and appeared to be fine however, by October, was 'lagging' a little and in November, would not turn on. We had used norton and he had not accessed anything suspicious (we use qustodio so monitor his use) so were unsure what the issue could be. We took it to a local repair centre, assuming it was likely an easy fix but they advised they were best not to repair it as it appeared to be an issue with the motherboard and recommended sending it back as it was still under warranty.
Throughout December we attempted to resolve this, eventually being told that it needed to go directly back to Asus. On contacting Asus, they instructed it was now out of warranty so o go back to laptops direct. My partner did this to be advised to send the item in for repair. This was all arranged prior to 9th Jan (so under a year in our possession) yet only collected on 16th Jan. I then received an email on 30th Jan to say it had been booked in and would be looked at over the next 10days with contact made by 9th Feb to arrange return.
Since the 9th Feb, I have been contacted several times by agents. They have advised that the item is out of warranty and they wish to arrange return of the computer. These calls have repeatedly occurred during my work time and I have re-directed agents o call my partner who has been dealing with this (I work in healthcare so spontaneous calls are hard) yes they persist on calling me and making it difficult o end the call. The item is out of warranty due to delays created in the process of arranging return and accountability for this (whether Asus or Laptops Direct) therefore, returning a still broken computer to us with no attempt at an equitable resolution is incredibly poor form.
