I am Shankar Prasad and I am professional translator since 2003. I have written couple of article in Kannada about open source software. I was one of the member in editorial board from 2003-05 of Kanaada (ಕಣಾದ), an Yearly Science Magazine. I have been translating open source projects like gnome, firefox, kde, libreoffice, pidgin, fedora, translation project etc.
