The consumer confidence in Slovakia fell by 0.3 percentage points month-on-month to -20.8 in December 2024 from -20.5 in the previous month. Slovakia Consumer Morale Hits 15-Month Low
The consumer confidence in Slovakia dropped by 1.5 points to -20.5 in November 2024, the lowest in fifteen months, as pessimism was evident in three of the four components of the indicator. Consumers are most concerned about future unemployment (16.4 vs 13 in October). They also expect a further deterioration in their savings (-19.9 vs -18.2) and their overall financial situation (-10.7 vs -9.4). Meanwhile, expectations for the general economic situation showed a slight improvement (-34.9 vs -35.3).

The consumer confidence in Slovakia decreased by 7.1 percentage points month-on-month to -19 in October 2024, marking its lowest level since February. Most of the sub-indices pointed to deterioration in morale, particularly the development of the general economic situation of the country (-35.3 vs 23.2 in September), alongside expected savings in households (-18.2 vs -11.8), the overall financial situation (-9.4 vs -4.3), and worries over unemployment levels (13 vs 8.1).
