Producer prices in Portugal rose by 1.1% year-on-year in November 2024, the most since August, quickening from a 0.1% increase in the prior month, mainly due to a strong rebound in energy costs (4.7% vs -4.4% in October). Prices also increased for capital goods (1% vs 0.1%) and intermediate goods (0.6% vs 1.3%). At the same time, prices were flat for consumer goods, following a 1.1% increase in the prior month. Excluding energy, producer prices went up by 0.4%, slowing from a 1.1% rise in the prior month.
