1. Own It All at Vivo City

If you’re a board game fan, head on over to Own It All at VivoCity and try your hand at the giant Monopoly board in front of the massive 3m tall Mr. Monopoly figure. You can also catch CNY-themed mascots roaming around and a lion dance performance in the middle of the first floor to soak up the festive vibes. Take note that the lion dance will only be happening on 7th and 8th February 2025, so mark your calendars.
While you’re at the mall, head over to Toys ’R’ Us to get your hands on the Monopoly Lunar New Year edition gameboard ($51.90), inspired by the Year of the Snake. 2. Chinatown Festive Light-Up

After stuffing yourself with a wholesome dinner, take a stroll down Chinatown’s streets and gaze at the pretty Chinatown Festive Light-Up. You’ll find installations commemorating the Year of the Snake and orchid motifs cleverly incorporated into the decor to celebrate SG60. And if you’re feeling peckish after all that walking, fret not, the Festive Fair at People’s Park Square has plenty of delicious treats and goodies to satisfy your cravings.
When you’re ready for a blast of aircon, pop into Chinatown Point and check out their pretty floral decor and score free mahjong sets.
Make sure to check out the LEGO Display in Chinatown while you’re there. Spot LEGO renditions of the Chinese Zodiacs and snap pics as you stroll down the streets.

3. River Hongbao 2025

Held at Gardens by the Bay, River Hongbao 2025 is the perfect family-friendly activity to spend CNY doing all your fav activities – munching on street snacks like Char Kway Sotong and Korean Spicy noodles, gazing at pretty lanterns, and catching lively performances. Start the new year with a bang by checking out the firecracker displays at 8pm on 27th and 29th January and 12am on 28th January 2025.
Bring your kids along as there will be amusement rides like a double-storey Horse Carousel and more thrilling ones like Space Shuttle, Euro Swing, and Texas Train for the adrenaline junkies.

4. Funan Mall
Massive Fortune Snake installation & unique AR experience

Funan Mall is all decked out in snake-themed decorations this CNY. Head down so you can ooh and aah at the massive 15m Fortune Snake installation made from red packets, forming the number ‘8’ – commonly associated with wealth, prosperity, and success.
And for a more interactive experience, there’s another display by Chinese illustrator Tang Yiqi where you can step into the snake-themed artwork using AR tech. You’ll also find snake exhibits and more snake-themed artwork, like the Snakes and Ladders-inspired interactive puzzle, dotting the area.

5. Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre rooftop display

For some themed sceneries, make your way to the Singapore Chinese Cultural Display Rooftop Display and sssnap pics of the snake decor slithering across the space. Plus, the area also doubles as a playground, so you can slide down the snake structure’s tongue and conquer your reptile phobia once and for all.

6. Realm of Possibilities at Suntec City

10. Spring Blossoms at Gardens by the Bay

Fun fact: the Spring Blossoms at Gardens by the Bay features over 1,000 dahlias. Feel free to drop bae a hint, ‘cause Valentine’s Day is around the corner and the prep’s got to start now, duh.
This year’s CNY theme, Legend of Lady White Snake, adorns gorgeous 3D living sculptures made solely with flowers. You’ll find interesting features like a stunning 4.5m tall Madam White Snake and a recreation of the Jixian Pavilion dotting the area.
There are also pretty pagodas on loan from the Asian Civilisations Museum. And excitingly, each Flower Dome entry ticket purchased also grants you free access to the Pagoda Odyssey 1915: From Shanghai to San Francisco exhibition in ACM where you can gawk at the full display of pagodas.

11. POP MART at Jewel Changi

POP MART fans unite – it’s your time to shine. The POP MART display at Jewel Changi features cute installations reminiscent of the imaginative universe we so adore. You’ll get to see characters like Molly, Skullpanda, Labubu, and Dimoo from the newly launched snake-themed Chinese New Year series. Don’t miss out on the Lion Dance and Dragon Dance performances at Shiseido Forest Valley from 28th January to 2nd February 2025.
