WASHINGTON, March 4. /TASS/. The US administration is introducing 25% tariffs on goods imported from Canada and Mexico as well as raising tariffs on goods from China.
Bloomberg noted that the tariffs against imported goods will be introduced to the tune of about $1.5 trillion year on year.
Ten-percent tariffs will be in effect for Canadian energy products. According to Washington, these measures are being taken due to unacceptable inflows of drugs and illegal migrants to the US.
US President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that his administration is introducing new tariffs on Canadian and Mexican products. He also signed an executive order doubling tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 20%, because, according to the White House, China has not taken any steps to restrict fentanyl supplies to the US.
