Vanish from Sight: It didn't last long this time, but it's still kinda funny that between the ending of NEO, Planar Disruption, and this card, those two can't seem able to stick together.

Innocuous Rat: I liked it better when it was called Sinuous Vermin

Friendly Ghost: surprised this doesn't have flash

Most Valuable Slayer: [groans]

Flesh Burrower: I like this art at least, the extra body mouths are neat

Abhorrent Oculus: The flashlight humans aside, this art is still really cool, and it's neat that the actual card synergizes with manifest dread's milling

So uh ever since the spoilers started proper, me and others have been pretty down on this set. Does anyone have anything nice to say?

I see you want cut ideas based on your comment on my wall. As such....

Butcher of Malakir - Too expensive to be impactful. Would rather have Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos if you still wanted to keep it

Gnat Miser - Weak static effect and doesn't do much other than being a tekashi69 (a rat :P)

Sinuous Vermin - Being or not being a monsterous, it is weak. Not worth a slot.

Swarm of Rats - Potentially big dude with no trample, you already have 1 or 2 of these, redundancy is not needed. I don't even think the others are. They seem win-more.

Typhoid Rats - Is cute, but 1/1 deathtouch with no way to abuse is ripe for cutting.

Bad Moon - Definition of win-more. Anthem helps opponents too, weak static effect. Not worth it at all.

Gravepurge - Eh, there is much better recursion in black if you are so inclined.

Cast Down - Meta dependent, but I would go with Go for the Throat

You could add in some more relentless rats or some of the suggestions I recommended.

Coffers is the primary card you should add if you can, SO much ramp. But I'm biased because I have a deck based on it. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx would help you ramp out alot too!

I think the deck needs some more black mana symbols to take advantage of Gary; it's not a rat, but Cuombajj Witches has hands so it kinda still fits with the deck name if that matters to you. A lot of decks play 1 toughness things in pauper, so it's pretty handy (unintentinoal pun). I'd choose to cut the 4 Night's Whisper or Sinuous Vermin for them.

Consider:

1. Relentless Rats
2. Razortooth Rats
3. Crypt Rats board wipes and hits all players so you'll want some life-gain
4. Rotting Rats
5. Sinuous Vermin Can get quite large. Could used after a board wipe
6. Gnat Miser is interesting. Useful early/mid game or against controlly matchups

Door of Destinies, Skullclamp, Soul Foundry, In Garruk's Wake, Victimize, Graf Rats + Midnight Scavengers, Sewer Rats, and Sinuous Vermin make decent budget cards... but I'm just partial to these suggestions because their in my tribal deck:

you also have all the other nezumi but not Nezumi Shortfang

if you need more board sweepers Crypt Rats and Infected Vermin could be choices that fit the theme.

Okiba-Gang Shinobi, Rancid Rats, Sinuous Vermin, Dirty Wererat can replace other vanilla rats like Gutter Skulk, Muck Rats, Drainpipe Vermin
