How much are you keeping this deck up to date? I had a very similar inspiration, and the last few sets have added some interesting new toys. If you want to compare notes, mine's at Above such mortal concerns. (I did allow myself the luxury of Cavern of Souls, Voldaren Estate, and Blood Celebrant, so it's able to cast Edgar in a pinch, but the spirit's still there.)
How well do cards like Vampire of the Dire Moon and Changeling Outcast work for this deck?

Near-Death Experience is definitely something I'd like to add in. Probably more of a side-board for me though, just not a big fan of "You win the game" cards.
I do like Blood Celebrant, only problem is most of the "pay x life" effects in this deck give you something back for that X. It is darn good for mana fixing though.
I think I will squeeze Plunge into Darkness and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose in there (I do like that Vito is just Sanguine Bond on a stick). The others are bit out of my typical price range.
I'll definitely give your deck a look over and see if anything pops out to me.

Any thoughts on Near-Death Experience as an instant win button?
Blood Celebrant is a MV 1 option for freely paying life. Just keep paying 1 life to convert your black mana into, um, black mana.
At a little higher budget, Plunge into Darkness is another instant-speed life manipulator, and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose has a target life gain-drain ability. Going higher into budget (not sure what your desired range for this deck is), there's the classics Exquisite Blood, Necropotence, and Sanguine Bond.
(I'm pulling combos from my deck that has a similar theme. Chiaroscuro and Liminal Space, if you want to check it out.)
This looks like a fun deck! Lots of good synergy.

Hey man, just a heads up - Bond of Agony doesn't quite work here. For example let's say you pay 20 life with Blood Celebrant, activate Rowan, Scion of War's ability and cast Bond of Agony where X = 20. You'll still have to pay another 20 life as an additional cost. Not very good at all.
Also, have you considered Plunge into Darkness or Spoils of the Vault here? With cards like Torment of Hailfire & Crackle with Power in the mix, they're 1-card wincons here. Vampiric Tutor, Grim Tutor & Cruel Tutor also have some serious added benefit with this one.

My main man Vilis!
Consider the following: Dark Confidant, Dark Tutelage, Black Market Connections, Ulcerate, Devour in Shadow, Feed the Swarm, Cruel Tutor, Plunge into Darkness, Blood Celebrant, Sign in Blood & Jinxed Ring.
Happy brewing!

How about Blood Celebrant? It could make things pretty steep, but it gives you more options when it comes to K'rrik's ability.
Pitiless Plunderer also gives you more ramp options. 4 CMC is a lot, even in Commander, but the ability makes every sac engine in your deck more efficient, and you have a lot.

taylorfisdboss if you're asking if I have trouble casting Tragic Poet and the other non-black cards, I'd say no. For starts, I don't usually cast Poet that often, neither do I Golgari Brownscale, so I don't really see the purpose of leaning that hard into manafixing to support them. Adding in Taplands will only slow down the combo, and most of the time won't be necessary. Blood Celebrant has always been there whenever I needed to cast a Poet. For the sideboard, the two extra Celebrants helps your issue greatly.
TLDR: I understand your concern, but I really don't get into any color fixing issues because of Blood Celebrant, and the Alternate Uses for those cards.
