Welcome to Squirrelly Minds, a place for simple ways to make life beautiful. I’m Tan and I started blogging in 1999, but Squirrelly Minds came in 2011. In 2018, I flew to London for what I expected to be a great big party, only to win Amara IBAS international craft blog of the year (wahoo!). I love to create but am a bit lazy about it in all honesty, hence my love for quick and easy. Here you’ll find simple DIY’s, printables, recipes, home decor and more.

When I’m not blogging, I can usually be found relaxing at home with the mister and our squirrelly kiddos, working on house projects, or putting orders together for Mesa Events. I also teach ELL (English Language Learners) in elementary school. I’m a huge fan of putting meaningful details and touches to any party, and I love to travel. I lived in Japan for one year when I was 20 (feels like forever ago) and I hope to uproot again and put my Portuguese citizenship to use by moving the three of us to Europe for a year or two.
