2008 Lincoln MKZ Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: MKZ, the grown up's Mazda 6 by BillWhopper

I have always loved Mazdas and the Mazda 6 is a terriffic car but for someone my age the sound insulation is poor and teh power is marginal. The '08 MKZ addresses those issues providing wonderful driving dynamics with Lincoln sound insulation and the 3.5 V6 with 6 speed Aisin transmission. This car replaced a BMW X3 and I have not given up anything. I am also excited that there are lots of performance products for teh car, (thanks Fusion Sort), so I look forward to having real fun owning this car.
There is no tech in this car, it was from the first part of the year before they added Sync. A good Garmin with bluetooth, Voice activation and OBDII connectivity provides everything I need.
Vivid Red looks wonderful with the minimal Chrome accents on this car. I think the '08 Lincoln grill is far classier than the flying wing stuff that followed. I think the car is truely handsome. The green house is exceptional by modern car standards.
The interior is simple and open, the central stack is well forward makes teh car feel larger than it is. The AC front seats are wonderful. My only complaint about the interior is there is too little storage.
The powertrain is great, teh 3.5 V6 is a great engine and teh Aisin 6 speed is super, it does not have a manual shift gate which is fine with me, I have owned them and seldon used them.
The handling is inheireted from the Mazda 6 it is based on and returns wonderful fell and confidence.
Wickedly stealth
Great driving fun
