Hi Friends! Today I have a super fun & quick tag to share with you today using a couple of the Linnie Blooms Canvas Die pieces .
I used the butterfly canvas die piece to coordinate with the stamp and the smaller black butterflies. I played with some of my Gelatos and added a flower stamen to mimic the antenna and some black flat back pearls for the center of the butterfly.
I had a partial piece of the flower canvas die left from another project so I tucked it behind my stamped tag. I really like how it turned out.
This is a great quick and easy project that you can create to brighten someones day. You could leave it on their desk at work, pop it in the mail or attach it to a small gift or bottle of wine.
Be sure to stop by the Linnie Blooms store and pick up some of these fun and fabulous canvas dies pieces for your crafting projects.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby DT project for Linnie Blooms.

Hi Friends! Today I have a quick tag project to share with all of you using one of the fabulous feather canvas pieces from Linnie Blooms.
I wanted to add some texture to the canvas feather so I grabbed some Matte Medium and an old dress pattern...
I put a thin coat of the Matte Medium over the canvas feather...
To give it some added texture I scrunched the dress pattern paper when I placed it on top of the feather...
I used my craft knife to cut the paper away from the feather. You can use scissors or even tear it if you wish....
I used my distress tool to add some extra fraying and texture to the edge of the feather...
I wanted to play with some of my alcohol inks and sprays so the next few photos show you how I "painted" my feather once the dress pattern paper was dry....
The last photo above was taken while the feather was drying. I love how it turned out once it was all dry. The inks and sprays crept into the wrinkles on the dress pattern and soaked into the canvas feather and it looks so cool.
This was my first time to play with the canvas feathers and I'm hooked. There are so many ways you can alter the canvas pieces and this is just one example of how you can use your inks and sprays and even some dress patterns to create textures and layers. You can find the feather canvas pieces in the Flutter Canvas Shapes at the Linnie Blooms store.

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!!
Hi Friends! Today I have a super fun project to share with all of you for Linnie Bloom's July challenge~Patriotism. I don't know about all of you but I LOVE the 4th of July. My hubby's birthday is July 3rd so it's a weekend of celebrations in our family.
For this challenge I created a vintage inspired tag using one of the FAB LB Canvas Flower pieces...
I also have a video that not only shows you the tag up close but I show you how I altered the flower and turned it into a Patriotic flower...
I wanted to mimic the stripes in the American Flag so I used a stencil from TCW and some red glimmer spray on the flower...
Sorry...I didn't realize the photo was turned until it was too late...but you get the idea right?? : )
After drying the flower with my heat tool, I used one of my Distress Markers in Chipped Sapphire and inked around the edges....
I dried this thoroughly with my heat tool and then spritzed it lightly with some water. I wanted to crinkle the flower so it would have some added dimension and texture, so I once again used my heat tool and my tweezers and dried it in the crumpled shape...
I really like how this turned out...
This was such a fun tag to create and I love how the LB Canvas Flower really stands out and is the star of the tag. I'll be using this for sure amongst my 4th of July decorations for this years celebration.
Be sure to stop by the Linnie Blooms store and pick up some of the amazing mixed stitch/canvas pieces for yourself.

Happy Crafting & Happy 4th of July : )
Hi Friends. Today I'm back with another Linnie Blooms creation to share with all of you : )
I created a friendship tag using the bird canvas piece that I'm giving to a very good friend of mine....
I also have a video that shows you the project up close along with a tutorial on how I achieved the texture on the bird canvas piece...
I knew I wanted to use a stencil to create the background so I could create a base that I could build on....
For added texture...I used some Crackle Accents on the colored parts of the stenciling...here's a before photo...
And this is how it looked once it was dry...
I used a paintbrush and dipped it into my Lindy's spray so i could add more of the Tiffany Lou Blue to the edges of the canvas bird...
Once this was dry...I added some Creme Brulee Cream Lindy's spray and some gold paint by Smooch. This really added some extra texture and dimension to the canvas bird and I LOVE how it turned out...
Don't toss your scraps leftover from another project...I was able to use the last bit of the Linnie Blooms Burlap piece as additional texture and background for the tag :)
I am lovin how this tag turned out. You can create so many layers and textures with the canvas pieces from Linnie Blooms and they turn into a piece of art.
Be sure to head to the Linnie Blooms Store and grab some of the canvas pieces & burlap so you can create your own piece or art.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and for checking out another ScrappinAbby project. I hope I was able to inspire you to create something fun with the Linnie Blooms canvas pieces & burlap.
Happy Crafting : )
