HOME is where you are

Hola! Yeah.. back to work tomorrow.. in the freezin morning. How come I feel like it's winter already? So, I was busy retail therapying today.. trying to find some boots and winter stuffs. How hard is it to find the perfect boot? I didn't find one that fits me! They are all to big for my skinny calf.. :( Better luck next time!

OK.. back to important stuffs.. I really like how this layout turned out. It's for Once Upon a Sketch Home theme challenge. I scrapped this cool picture of us. It is true, home is where my hubby and family are. Back from Malaysia to USA to Malaysia again then here now in Australia, I always believe home is where they are :)

Plus it is fitting to join Scrapbookers Anonymous again... Love the map paper, it kinda ties everything together.. the colors and also the story of how we moved around but are always "home"... Gosh, sorry about the cheesiness.. hehehe

Looking forward already to the weekend! :) Thanks for visiting

The Future is Yours

How can 4 days of holidays passed so quick? Luckily, my company always give Easter Tuesday off every year. Yeay! So I have in mind of spending time alone... shopping! :)

Anyway, we had a very relaxing long weekend. Met some friends, a couple of play dates for the kids and a watched The Lorax. Plus I managed to catch up with some scrapping. For this one, I am honored to be the Guest Designer for Bird is the Word "Future" challenge.

I scrapped this picture of Zareef showing off in the play ground. I didn't intend the splatter to be that messy, but Zareef kicked it while it was drying. Yeah, the future is his, indeed! I also wanna join Scrapbookers Anonymous "Map" challenge. Lovely background paper that is!

La la la.. good night! :)

Defying Gravity

Hellooooo everyone! Hope you are having a great start to yet another month! I finally managed to scrap a little bit after our holidays. Gold Coast was AWE-oh-oh-SOME! Besides spending a day at Sea World, wet and miserable, the other 3 days was great! The rollercoaster was not too bad and my favourite is The Buzz-Saw @ DreamWorld. I went on 3 times.. yes, three! There wasn't much crowd that day and one of my friend went SIX times! :D I surely come again, especially when the kids are older and can go on the rides with us.

Anyhooo... here is a layout I did on Sunday.. inspired by Twisted Sketches #141 with a twist of Leap. So I chose these pictures of us... jumping! :D Also joining Scrapbookers Anonymous stickers challenge. I felt a bit rusty when I stopped scrapping for a while; spending almost half a day thinking about the layout instead of making them! Hope you like it..

Enjoy your week! Thanks for visiting!

Promise

This is the last layout I did during my week long holiday. In the spirit of new 20Dozen, I created this layout of me and my hopes for the new year. There are a lot I wish for, but these are what came to my mind when I did the journaling.

I am inspired by Bird is the Word 'Promise' challenge, which is perfect for New Year's resolutions. I am also joining Scrapbookers Anonymous misting challenge, and used Creative Scrappers Sketch #189 for this layout. Fuh, four in one!

Happy weekend people! Thanks for visiting.

Happy Birthday Dear!

I had a lovely day today. It is my hubby's birthday today, so we had a nice lunch and watched Transformers 3 today :)) Honestly quite disappointed with the movie since we have high hopes for it. We are huge fans of the 1st and 2nd movies, but this one didn't quite make it somehow.... But the special effects are brilliant at least!

So here is a layout dedicated to him.. This is the second time I scrapped this photo since I like it so much.. :) I am inspired by Get Picky June Inspiration challenge, which to scrap from a lovely poster from Sex & The City 2. Also, inspired by Let's Get Shabby Challenge #25, which is also a poster inspiration challenge, with addition to use number '2' and choose 2 items to include from a list of embellies. For this one, I used chipboards and ribbons.

Both posters have strong blue influence in them, which brought me to join Scrapbookers Anonymous July challenge. The challenge this time is to scrap our hard to use colors, or colors that are piling up in our stash. I had these lovely baby blue flowers, ribbons and stickers from Bella for a long time but it was hard for me to use them. If you know me, I like bright colors!! Even my 'subdued' colors are still brighter than this! So I took up the challenge and kind of like how 'soft' this layout turned out.

The sketch is from Once Upon A Sketch July 1st challenge. The journaling criteria is to name the person in the photo and describe a fact about them. There are more than one fact about my hubby to write about.. maybe a bit cheesy here, but hey, it's his birthday anyway! :))

Sorry for my long rambling... here's the layout..

Happy Birthday again my dear! Thank you again for visiting.. :)) Your comments are really appreciated!

Yes, she is!

Ahhhh... too bad that weekend is almost over.. again! Why oh why we only have 2 days? Plus, the weather was gorgeous!!! After all the rain and clouds and cold, the warm weather and blue sky was really welcomed! I did not have much time scrapping this weekend as I was busy lazying outside instead :)

Here is one layout I did yesterday, this one is a 3 in 1 combo challenge. There are so many challenges to join that I don't have time to do all of them!!! (Yeah, me lazy too.. he he) The sketch comes from Pencil Lines Sketches #227.

The theme of the layout comes from Scrap The Girls March challenge. They have a bunch of great quotes from Kobi Yamada to choose as an inspiration and title of your project. Check it out, they are amazing quotes, and I am inclined to pick and scrap a few more out of the quotes. For this layout, I picked the quote "she must be something special, she is!". Yup, my girl Zara is absolutely special to us. She is looking sweet here within the blooms at The Tulip Festival last spring.

For the design, I am joining Scrapbookers Anonymous challenge, which is to include at least 7 flowers on your layout. Eazy peezy, right???!! I love to add flowers in my layout and this layout is a perfect place for lots and lots of them. Here I am using combination of Kaiserkraft and Prima flowers. Just lovely!

Some close up of the flowers and other embellies. I tried to keep the colors to pink and white theme, so it will be sweet like Zara!

Added some chipboard birdie and a key. Also love that Kaiserkraft wooden fluorish.... and of course more bling-bling :))

Thanks again for visiting... Have a great week ahead.. :)))))

X for Xcitement!

Another reveal today.. this time a simple layout, one I whipped last minute late Sunday evening, salvaging the remaining minutes of daylight.. hehe.

This one was inspired by a sketch from Lets Capture These Sketches. I also join in Scrapbookers Anonymous February challenge, which was to include as many Xs in your layout. Cool, as I don't think I ever used X in my layout before! These pictures of my kids jumping are pure Xcitement. I added another X so I have 2 Xs!

Love these bright color papers from Nikki Sivils, and really glad that I get to destash these papers! (Yeap, more room for new papers :)) Aren't they pretty? At first I had a hard time finding an appropriate background paper. At last I decided to use black cardstock. As I don't like plain cardstock as a background, I painted the edges white. Love how it looked like a blackboard, and I think black makes the papers pop out more too..

Glad to find thickers that match the paper colors..

Some close up shots.. Sorry for the poor quality picture. As I said, it was getting dark when I was finished with this layout :)
