Pirate Banner

We love adding and changing items from our Etsy Shop!

We had a customer buy our pirate banner, but she had a few adjustments. She really wanted a pennant banner and wanted specific colors added: Lime gren, teal, yellow, and red!

We made the pirate boys more colorful and did teal pennants! So cute!!!

Pirate chests inbetween the words!

So don't be afriad to ask for customized decorations! We enjoy variety and love a challenge!

How to clean your circut mats

Here is one for our fellow crafters!

How to clean your cricut mats!!!!!

If you have a cricut, you know how important the mat is. The problem is...... these things are SO expensive and they simply don't last long enough! After just a few uses, it seems the stickiness has worn off and paper is sliding everywhere.

Well, in order to keep the costs down for our customers, we've had to become resourceful. One thing we do is scotch tape the paper to mat so that it stays put. But sometimes, even THAT starts to not work..... and here is why:

DUST! The mats are meant to be sticky for a long time, but over time, the fibers from the papers you use to cut and other dust, fur, lint, whatever is flying around the house gets stuck to it too.

Take a close look at your mat......... I bet it looks a lot like this:

Luckily I have a great solution! WASH YOUR MATS!

It's simple! make sure to clear off as much of the paper and particles as you can off of your mat and then add some dish soap to it.

Get your hands nice and wet and start to rub in a circular motion, starting in the middle and work your way out.

Be sure to really put some elbow grease into it! Then simply rinse with water and allow to air dry. (usually overnight)

And you will have a sticky mat again!! It won't be like BRAND new, but it will definitely work much better! You can keep doing this over and over again!!! Eventually it will stop working, but by then you've extended the life of your mat so far that you should be proud!! (and you've saved yourself a bundle!)

With as much as we use our mats, this has been a life saver!!

Enjoy! <3

Under the Sea Welcome Sign

Our popular under the sea theme is growing! Our newest item: A welcome sign!
It's so great because it can be used for more than JUST the party! Hanging on the bedroom door for their very own room sign! (The name part of the banners we make can also be hung in their bedroom after the party too!)

Welcome signs can also be done in our three tiered design as well!

Fun with Toddlers-Memorial Day Craft!

Happy Memorial Day! Here is a cute craft we did this weekend to celebrate!

Supplies:
Red, white and blue poms (any craft store will have them!)
A piece of paper
Scissors
Glue
Cut the paper into any shape you want-we did a star but any shape will look cute!

Since we have been practicing our colors, we glued the poms by color onto the points of the star. I asked him what color he wanted to use (I only had red, white and blue as options) and them reminded him to only use that color. I put glue around the edged of one section at a time.

He liked that some of the poms were different sizes since he's been investigating "tiny" and "big" things lately.

Here is our Memorial Day star craft! Hope it inspired you to get creative with your little ones!

We would love to see what crafts you are doing with your little ones! Email us photos and we will post them the following sunday for our Toddler Time entry!

For my baby girl's sprinkle, I did a gray and yellow bird theme. We recently got a request for this theme in lime green and yellow!

She wanted a three tiered welcome sign saying "LouAnn's Baby Shower".

Monkey Favor Bags

To go along with our previous posts about our new monkey theme: here are our monkey favor bags!

The colors can be changed to match your party, but we used a lime green topper with purple "thanks" on it and a purple balloon with yellow initial.

The monkey is holding a ballon with the intial of the birthday girl! (Just like the matching invitations!)
