We're aware of the issue preventing the post editor from loading for some users. Our team is investigating this right now and we hope to have this sorted out as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

Update: 5/10 This is fixed and the post editor should load without issue now.

We've reproduced an issue which is affecting paragraph spacing when composing from the Old Post Editor on IE. We're working to sort out the underlying issue, but in the meantime we recommend updating to the New Editor from the Settings | Basic tab.

Thanks for your patience.

Some users are reporting a bX-xovb7t error when creating a new post. We're looking into this and will report back when we have an update on the issue.

As a workaround, you can remove your post template code from the Settings | Formatting tab, and you will be able to post again.

Thanks for your patience.

Scheduled posting is currently unreliable for some users. We're looking into this and will post and update when we have more to share.

Thanks for your patience.

Update July 6, 2009: A fix will be pushed to production by tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, (US Pacific GMT -0800).

Popup dialogs are currently broken when editing a post on Blogger in Draft. We are working to fix the issue. In the meantime, please create and edit your posts via Blogger's non-experimental interface at www.blogger.com.

Some users are experiencing problems with FTP publishing that may affect image upload and posting. While we are working on the fix, one quick recommendation would be to clear your browser's cache and cookies and then try to re-publish.

Scheduled posts are currently not being published. We’re working on the fix. Once it is fixed we will publish the backlog of posts that were scheduled but didn’t get published.

Update, 11AM: This is now fixed. Previously-scheduled posts that should have been published by now are now published.

ScheduledPostCaptcha1160775

Blogs that require a word verification (CAPTCHA) for each post cannot schedule posts to publish in the future. Those posts will be saved as drafts. Blog owners should click the “?” help icon next to the word verification for instructions on how to get the blog reviewed and the word verification restriction removed.

The "Check Spelling" button in the Blogger post editor is currently non-functional.

Update, 2/22: "Check Spelling" now works again.

Clicking on image uploaded through the post editor will show a file download box instead of showing the full-size image in the browser. We are currently working to fix this issue. In the meantime, a workaround is to make two changes to the first URL in the image <a> tag:

Update, 12/4: We pushed a fix for this late last night. Uploaded image click-throughs now work correctly again.

1. Replace "-R" with "-h".
2. Replace the image location folder (preceeding something like "s1600-R") with the folder in the second URL.

Old code:
<a href="http://.../uvkJJAw53aw/s1600-R/PICTURE.JPG">
<img src="http://.../sDRgJ2i-NLo/s320/PICTURE.JPG" /></a>

New Code:
<a href="http://.../sDRgJ2i-NLo/s1600-h/PICTURE.JPG">
<img src="http://.../sDRgJ2i-NLo/s320/PICTURE.JPG"/></a>

PicasaStorageSpace

Users who have paid for additional storage space on Picasa Web Albums may not be able to use their additional storage space from within Blogger. As a workaround, try first logging into your Picasa Web Albums account (picasaweb.google.com) and logging out; your additional storage space should then be accessible from within Blogger.

Embedded Google Maps can only be edited in Edit HTML mode. Compose mode will change the embedded code so that the map no longer appears, and this may also cause problems using the posting form.

Update, 9/25: This has been fixed (for a week or so now, actually).

PicasaBlogThisAlignment

Images uploaded to Blogger via Picasa’s BlogThis! feature are not appearing if the alignment is set to “left” or “right.” The current workaround is to upload images with an alignment of “none.”

Update, 2/8/08: This has been fixed for a while, now. Closing.

Autosave and image upload do not work with the new Safari 3 beta. We're investigating.

Update, 6/12: All fixed! Autosave and image upload, as well as other features of Blogger’s Compose mode work in the Safari 3 beta.

Update, 6/22: A caveat on this: Safari’s text editor implementation has a habit of creating <div> tags around each paragraph under certain, yet-to-be-determined circumstances. If you notice a lot of extra space between paragraphs after using Safari 3’s editor, choose “Edit HTML” and delete the <div> and </div> tags.

The Blogger Dashboard widget for Mac OS X cannot be used to post to the new version of Blogger.

Update, 6/6: Version 1.0.1 of the widget has been released and works with the new Blogger. Download it.

PicasaBlogThis

The initial release of BlogThis! from Picasa to the new version of Blogger in beta has the following problems that we are working to resolve as quickly as possible:
  • If you are signed in as a Blogger user, sign out, and then sign back in with your Google account (to post to the beta), you will receive an error. The work around is to close the window and repost from Picasa (signing in with your Google account).
  • There is no sign out link if you are logged in as a beta user. The workaround is to exit Picasa.
  • Posting multiple large images sometimes results in the photos not being uploaded properly. The best workaround for the moment is to use the Blogger edit post form to upload the images.

Update, 2/1: This has been fixed.
