The really beautiful water falls which lies in Maimajhuwa VDC, the falls started form the sacret lake of Maipokhar, the local name is Bhalu Khola

Tal Pokhari (tfn kf]v/L) lies at Maimajhuwa VDC-6, is a public land covered by Chhintappu community forest at the height of 3022 meters. The area is 0.11 hectare. It is far north of Ilam. Visitors can see the Himalayan ranges from the pond area. They can watch mountain, birds, red panda and other wildlife.

Purne Pokhari (k'0f]{ kf]v/L) lies at Sulugung VDC-1, Ilam is private land at the height of 2155 meters. The area is 0.31 hectare. Now it is dry up land to be picnic spot with garden.

Mangmalung Pokhari (dfªdfn'Ë kf]v/L) lies at Ivang VDC-6, Ilam is a public land at the height of 1822 meters. The area of pond is 0.11 hectare. It is 52km far west of Ilam. There is a temple with wonderful den. Bats are in the den. The pond is the source of Ratuwa stream. There is a garden around the pond and the temple. People go to visit temple, den, and fruit bats, pine forest, picnic.

Colorful fish, other, watermen, pleasant, barking dear, water mustard, Lotus, trees are found in and around the pond. Hindu Baling and Kirants worship the pond on special occasion. Rites are performed. There is picnic spot, place for rites and ritual ceremony.

Mai Pokhari (dfOkf]v/L kf]v/L) lies at Maipokhari and sulubung VDC-4, Ilam is a public land covered with forest at the height of 2100 meters. The area of pond is 1.8 hectare, 7.25 meters deep and total area is 90 hectares. It is 18 km far north of Ilam. It belongs to the world heritage. It has nine corners naturally. It is the tourist destination; religious people go to worship the pond. Kirants, Buddhism Hindus believe on the pond ritually. There are temple, monastery, huts. 4 types of rhododendron, 3 types of primella, 16 types of orchids, 62 species of herbs, 300 species of plants, moss, salamander, Red panda, squirrel, frog, bat, deer, snake, 12 species of water animals, 3 species of fish, 6 species of mammals, and 208 species of birds are found there. ICIMOOD, WWF, IUCN are working for preservation.

Lalbas Pokhari lies at maba VDC-6, Dobate, Ilam is a public land covered with forest at the height of 2694 meters. The area of pond is 0.5 hectare. It is in the north of Ilam. Sherpa and Rai villages are around the ponds (two). They have their ethnic cultures. The rare animal panda, bear, leopard, deer, wild boar and birds like babbler, fawel are found there. Mountain plants, trees and medicinal herbs are important vegetation of the area. Rhododendron flowers are appeared in spring. Buddhists and Kirants worship the pond.

Khakhare Malingeni Pokhari (v/v/] dflnË]gL kf]v/L) lies at Nayabazar VDC-1, Ilam is public land covered with community forest at the height of 2155 meters. The area of the pond is 0.13 hectare. It is 65km Far East of Ilam. Various species of trees and herbs are grown in the forest. Otter, deer, wild pig, leopard, salamander, panda, bear are found and wood picker, faowal, babbler, eagle etc are the common birds. Rhododendron blooms in spring. A picnic spot is also there.

Kerung Pokhari (s]?ª kf]v/L) lies at chulachuli-VDC-5, Peltimari Ilam is a public land. At the height of 167 meters. It covers the area of 0.40 hectare. It is in the southern terai belt. Kirants worship the pond. The pond is covered by the forest. It is the source of irrigation, people visit the area to see birds and animals of the plain.
