Sunflower Birthdays

I have used some sweet Lawn Fawn sunflower dies, and a Memory Box sentiment die  to make a couple birthday cards...
This first one, I die cut and "kind of" brushed some ink on all three of the colored elements...although it just shows on the leaves.  I added a die cut and layered sentiment , and popped up the panel over some cut strips, using the same papers as the flower and sentiment.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I used the same sentiment , but a border of little sunflowers, along with a Simon Says Stamp sunflower filled embossing folder ...
I die cut and layered the row of sunflowers, adding the die cut and layered senetiment.  I adhered them to a couple panels that I adhered together, then ran through my Big Shot with a sunflower embossing folder.  Here's a close up of this one...
Sunflowers are a favorite flower of one of my daughters, and she's having a birthday in a week, so at least one of these will be going to her!  Hope your weekend was wonderful, and that this coming week will be inspiring!

Sending Love

I have used the Lawn Fawn Giant Sending Love die, to make a giant card...
I chose to use a glossy black cardsock for the "sending", amd a glossy red metallic for the "love".  When it came to choosing a background paper, I fell in love with this older piece of paper from Honey Bee Stamps!  I could not bear to cut it down to fit an A2 card, as I would lose the yellow on the top, or the green on the bottom, so I left all but 1/4" that I cut off each side.  I added another piece of the patterned paper from this pack (Over the Rainbow) to give the card some black lines of the same width and direction as the sentiment, adhering it behind the colored card panel.  The card is 6"x6", and I made an envelope for the card with the only paper I had large enough, a kind of off white paper, and my envelope maker.  Here's a closeup of the die cut...you can kind of see the shine of the cardstock...
Simple fun...my favorite kind, this card makes me happy!  Hope your week is going good!!

Happy Potted Flowers

I have made three cards with one of the pretty, fun, and new Lawn Fawn dies, Happy Potted Flower...
I just fell in love with this die when I saw it, and it does make for some happy potted flowers!  For this first one, I simply die cut the pieces with white and colored pieces, the pot I used a blending brush and some terracotta ink for the edges.  I used a piece of burlap to texture the yellow center.  I also used a couple layers over the top, after adhering the pieces onto the base.  I used an older Simon stamp set for the sentiments...so sorry, I didn't realize it was no longer available umtil after my cards were finished...but any small sentiment stamps would work!  Here's a close up...

The other two are just like the first, but different colors, and the next one, a different sentiment...
This one was truly the flower after the die's name...the Happy flower...rainbows always make me happy!!  Here's a close up...

This one for a sunflower loving family member...
...and it's closeup...
Sweet and simple...the flowers and my heart are happy!!

Garden Before N' Afters

I purchased the Lawn Fawn Garden Before N' Afters stamp/die set over a year ago, and am just now taking it out the plastic ( I have a number of these kind of sets, but am trying to carve out time to create with them!).  !  I have made three cards, using different stamps and sentiments from the stamp and die sets for each of the cards...
The first card, I stamped, die cut, colored and layered the container of flowers.  I used a very old Simon Says Stamp die from the Lunch Box Notes die set to frame the flowers and sentiment.  I layered the frame, and popped it up on a piece of Sunny Studio patterned paper.  Here's a close up...
The second one, I used a single flower, three times...
Super simply done, stamped, die cut, colored and layered three sunflowers.  I added a sentiment from the set, and popped up panel on card.  Here's a close up...
The third one, I used the blooming pots from the set...
Just like with the other two, I stamped, die cut, colored and layered each of the pots.  I loved these four little pots, showing a flower blooming, and with the sentiment...it all just spoke to me!!  Here's a close up...
Hope you have/make time to create...it brings happiness...and it's just fun!!
Thank you, so much, for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Spring Daisies Thanks

I have made a thank you card with the flowers from Lawn Fawn's Spring Flowers Backdrop Die set...
I hope to make a card with the entire frame, but had die cut the flowers and that was as far as I got.  These flowers have sat on my desk for WEEKS..first as die cuts, then I took and adhered them together and then had layered flowers(daisies).  I needed to do something with them, so here we are!  I cut strips of green for the stems, and made the leaves from an unlikely source...an old Paper Smooches die...
...the CENTERS of the loopy leaves...go figure!  This die happened to be on my desk, as well...for a LONG time...funny how things go!  I then added a die cut and layered CZ Design Thanks with a vellum background.  The blue cardstock I used a MFT Stamps polka dot background stamp, versamarked and white embossed.  Here's a close up...
I love being able to use things just laying around and make something of them, despite having different intentions!  I have a whole box of leftovers....might be making some cards with those, too!  Hope you have a great day...the week...the month...is flying by!!

Floral Wreath Birthday

I recently purchased a very pretty Lawn Fawn die, Magic Iris Floral Wreath Add-On die set to make a Birthday card...
I thought this wreath was so pretty, the tulips and, as I made them, daisies, are two of the flowers I love to see most on cards, so this die set was for me!  I also love the extra flower dies, so with more time, I will hopefully eventually make some cards simply with the flowers!  I layered the wreath twice, used a circle die to cut a hole in the card panel, ran it through my Big Shot in a very old Cuttlebug polka dotted embossing folder(thanks for the idea of polka dots, Emma!), and used a Simon Says Stamp sentiment stamp for the center of the wreath, that I thought fit into and went perfectly with the wreath!
Here's a close up...
Hope you are having a good weekend...making this card has mine off to a happy start!!
Thanks for taking time to stop by my blog!! Hugs!! Lisa

Tropical Leaves Birthday

I've used the cool Lawn Fawn Tropical Leaves dies and a CZ Design sentiment stamp/die to make a birthday card...
These tropical leaves are all the rage these days, and my daughter had requested a card for a dear friend of ours, so it was a lot of fun designing a card with them!  I used three different shades of paint chips, die cutting three leaves from each shade...two large ones and one small one.  I arranged them down the center of the card and adhered the "birthday wishes" stamped and die cut sentiment across the leaves.  I added some tonic drops for some bling.  Here's a close up...
Simple design, simple fun...hope you're finding fun this week!!

Merry Christmas Money Card

I have made a card for a family member who wanted money for their Christmas gift...
I used the wonderful Lawn Fawn Giant Merry Christmas die that I have had for a while, and thought perfect for this card! I used a mini slimline card, as it's size is MADE for money...6 1/4"x3 1/4"!
I used Sunny Studio Holiday Cheer paper, cutting the red and two green dotted papers into strips, and adhering to thin cardstock before diecutting the sentiment.  I then layered the die cut, and added a layered die cut heart to go with the sentiment strip, both Simon Says Stamp.  I also used a mini slimline envelope for the card.  This card makes me happy!  Here's a close up...
Hope all is well in your part of the world...beautiful weather here in VA...windows open today!

Giant Thank Yous

I have made a couple cards with the Lawn Fawn Giant Thank You die...
I must admit, right off, that, while searching for inspiration, I was a bit smitten with a JC Penney gift card I saw, and this thank you card is the result...thank YOU, Penneys!  I embossed the thank you imprint on a piece of cardstock, and brushed ink onto all the letters.  I dried the ink, then die cut and layered.  I used a Simon sentiment strip and a tiny layered heart to complete the sentiment.  I used a doube stitched rectangle die, popping up the middle portion and done!  Here's a close up...
I had a whole bunch of "trial" pieces on my desk, so I made a second...
I die cut the "thank you" from gray cardstock and layered.  I used a Simon heart die to cut a heart from a Sunny Studio piece of snowflake paper.  I used another of the Simon sentiment strips, and another layered heart, this time red to stand out on the card of gray and white!  Here's a close up...
Okay...such fun!!  Hoping your day is a good one...maybe even great one!!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for visiting me today!!💗 Hugs!! Lisa

GIANT Happy Birthday

I've made a rainbow filled birthday card with the very cool new Lawn Fawn Giant Happy Birthday die...
I used 1/2" strips of cardstock adhered to a thin piece of cardstock and then die cut and layered.  What I LOVE about this die, is that it is SO wonderful all...by...itself!!  I added two little die cut and layered hearts to fill in the empty space on either side of the "day"...sort of gives a bit of continuity to the length of the other two lines of sentiments.  I used an embossing folder for my black cardstock(made by Darice, but I don't have a title)...liked that the surrounding paper has texture, and love black with rainbows.  Truth be told, I love black...with rainbow or whatever color!! I was going to put tonic drops around the sentiment, but this was a card, for me, where less was more...nope.
 Here's a close up...
I love this die! This die, a birthday, and a rainbow...sheer happiness!!  Hope you are having a happy week...please stay safe!!

Baby Shark 1st Birthday

I wanted to share a card I made for my grandbaby's 1st birthday...
My pictures were taken in my son Noah's van!  I had forgotten to photograph the card until I was on the way to give this to my little man, so I used the dashboard of the van for my photo shoot(this was shot at a red light😄)!!  Gabriel LOVES the Baby Shark video, so I chose to make him a baby shark card.  The baby shark in the video is yellow, so the shark on the card had to be yellow.  I used the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh stamp/die set for the shark.  Duh-Nuh...it took me a bit to figure that one out.  Duh is a word I use at my stupidity...like not taking a picture of the card before on the way to give it away!  BUT, when you put the Duh together with the Nuh...it's...JAWS!!  DUH!!
Anyhow...die cut, colored, layered  and adhered the shark to the penny behind the die cut slider, which was made with a die also from Lawn Fawn.  I decided after my last slider card, to buy a set of dies that are MADE to make slider cards, rather than make my own...life's too short!  The waves were done with a Simon Says Stamp Waves background stamp, the discontinued "happy birthday" is Jumbled Happy Birthday by Poppy Stamps, bent after layering to kind of follow the waves.  The "st" is Papertrey Ink and the "1" is Simon Simple Numbers(retired too, it would seem).  I just realized the "Happy 1st" should have been a tad more to the left...oh well...perfection is highly overrated?!  You get the idea, right?!  Here's my beautiful little guy at the beach with his shark trunks...he is such a sweet boy...he brings such joy to my life...
Here's a close up...
and here's a video showing the baby shark moving back and forth...
...a penny under the image you're trying to slide is perfect!!
This card was fun...love to make cards that are meaningful, for my family!
Thanks so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Sweet...

I used the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Summer stamp/die set and the My Favorite Things Sweet sentiment stamp and Sweet die to make a couple cards...
I LOVE  these Lawn Fawn "Simply" stamp dies sets!  They are simple, and simply adorable!  I also purchased the sentiment stamp set that goes with the "Simply" stamp/die set, but chose to use the My Favorite Things Sweet stamp/die set for today's cards.  I stamped, embossed, die cut and layered the ice cream cones, them swiped the pink marker on a piece of cardstock and die cut the sentiment and layered, as I wanted it to "match" the ice cream.  I used an old Papertrey Ink impression plate (Tin Types) for the background.  Here's a close up...
The other one, I used the watermelons for a card to encourage a friend!...
I absolutely LOVE watermelons...my family thinks I'm crazy, but I never buy one watermelon....usually two or three at a time!  I love watermelon, but am always afraid that if I buy one and picked a bad one, I'll have none...so two or three gives me better odds of getting a good one.  One time I picked three BAD ones...the most recent purchase, I have eaten two of the three and so far, both were AMAZING!!  There is nothing like a beautiful, sweet watermelon...and while the summer lasts, I will indulge as much as possible.  I used another Papertrey Ink Impression plate for this card (retired Simple Stripes) and popped the top and bottom up over the watermelons.  Here's a close up...
Hope you are enjoying the sweet simple things in life, this summer, ice cream and watermelon...it doesn't get much sweeter, or fun than this!!
