Red Lion Robot, Unknown, 1980 's ?

I picked this up in the 1990's at a Belgian fleamarket. Have no clue from which serie this comes from, so if anyone recognizes this toy please send me a message.

RX78 - Big scale.

Of all Gundams, this one has to be the most popular ! It is the bot that started it all. The one that defended the first Zakus attacks... it is even the one to build real size. Yes. really... they did it a couple of years ago in Tokyo (Odaiba's Shiokaze Park). - to see more, click here.

Valkyrie

In Norse mythology, a valkyrie (from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who decide which soldiers die in battle and which live. (Wikipedia)

Quite interestingly, it made its way to the land of emperors and rising suns...

What a nice moustache...

If Picasso had his Gundam that would be the one... heavy diecast toy - "titanium" alloy legs. Oh yes, and a moustache à la Hercule Poirot...

Building robots - Gunpla

Brave Battle Warriors - 021, BANDAI, Japan, 2010

Holidays are there - and this means I have some time to assemble a number of these. GUNPLA means "Gundam Plastic Modelling". The fun here is that these models do not require any glue or paint. And throught the use of "polycaps" (= flexible joints / articulations), they can transform and are fully posable/ playabe at the end of the built. Lots of research and engineering went into these.

Instructions ? In japanese...
