Interior Design: Color Pallete Wall

Via: Imgur

Wow.  This is awesome, but Jesus, this guy has waaay too much time on him hands.
"This is a wall in my bedroom. When I bought my house I had to repaint everything since the previous owners where clearly not painters. Anyway after painting the room white I knew I needed an accent wall but couldn't decide on the color. So I made the joke about painting it every color.

570 different colors. All hand mixed using a syringe so I can recreate them if i ever need to. The only store bought colors were Black, White, Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta."

Video: Star Wars Death Scenes

Animator Filipe Costa of PipocaVFX and artist Matheus Muniz collaborated on this animated pixel art compilation of some of the most shocking death scenes in Star Wars series. The chiptune Star Wars medley and music and sounds for their video were created by Paulo Bohrer II.
"Through the years, many have faced this wicked destiny. Mighty heroes have been betrayed, powerful foes have been defeated… and a few accidents happened. For those who faced death, all has ended. But their memories live on, in another galaxy…"

Interior Design: Baby Mario Room

Baby Mario Room photographed by
[ Previous Video Game Interiors ]

Imgur user ThePunNun shared this gallery of photos in which his friend transformed the walls of his room into a level from one of the Baby Mario games.  The artist hand-mixed 80 cups of paint for the murals, which in and of itself indicates the level of effort that went into this room.  There's no mention of how long it took, but you can tell from the detail that went into the pencil layer that it was a work of love.
"This is a tale. The tale of a boy and a room.  Well, man and a room. A talented man and a room. An awesome, talented man and a room. [...]

This is my friend, Matt. I met him at work, at a low-paying job. He works his butt off, and he painted this room as a favor/a "thank you" for a friend. It's been a year or two, but seeing as I've just met him, I think this deserves love now. We all do every once in a while. He's a genuine person in a world of nots, and he did a phenomenal job with this art. (First time the bastard actually painted, too.) He also does tattoo art, short films, and a ton of other creative stuff."

Interior Design: Star Wars Pixel Shower

Via: Reddit

This incredible tile mosaic was created by Imgur user GBFel in his basement shower. The design is based on a piece of pixel art by Andy Rash. Below, you can check out step-by-step photographs of the mosaic's creation. He writes that "The best part of being an adult is that if you decide that the basement needs a Star Wars shower, the basement gets a Star Wars shower!"

Łuczyński has captured Daenerys, Jon (this one especially captures that 'I'm grumpy or I really need the loo' face Kit Harington is so fond of pulling), Drogo, Tyrion, The Mountain and Oberyn really well - each pixel-drawing has a great deal of personality, but it's the little animations that bring them to life. From the Mountain's tabard to the blood dripping from Drogo's Arakh, they're subtle additions but they add something lovely to each design.

Minecraft: Deathwing Kerrigan and Diable

If you think Minecraft is just about building stuff with blocks and avoiding creatures at night, you may need to dig yourself out of the cave around you and come into the light. In the right hands, Minecraft is nothing short of a creator’s toolkit where the possibilities are almost literally unlimited.

Twitch streamer Thorlar has spent the last 23 and a half weeks manually arranging virtual blocks in exactly the right way to compose the largest piece of pixel art ever seen in Minecraft.  Thorlarian spent more than 1,000 hours on the project rather than resorting to software. The digital illustration is made of 1,128,960 blocks, and the final image depicts Deathwing, Kerrigan, and Diablo, the three most recognizable characters from Blizzard's games.  Before you say "fake," know that he streamed his progress on Twitch, so he has got thousands of people who can attest to his feat.

If you want to get even closer to this, you can check out the interactive map of the project that will allow you to zoom all the way into every pixel/block. Enjoy.

Spanish artist Octavi Navarro makes amazing digital illustrations that he calls “Pixel Art”. He stages little characters in cut decors that remind us of some movie scenes like Wes Anderson’s movies or by reproducing concert’s moments such as the Chvrches’ one.

Featured Site: Pixel Trek

Pixel Trek is a simulation featuring a pixel art version of the Enterprise D from Star Trek: The Next Generation that you can explore as a little pixellated Lieutenant Commander Data. The results are surprisingly cool, wandering through tiny rooms of the ship and seeing familiar sights like the Battle Bridge or Data's quarters.  I’m not sure how canonical it is, but it does seek to answer some important questions, such as "How does a ship with a crew of two thousand and magical replicators in every room not have any toilets?"

According to an interview with the creator Daniel Saaba, PixelTrek is based on the original blueprints, although it's not to scale. He also added more bathrooms, and included a lot of Easter Eggs like E.T. and Lt. Arex from the animated series. He's creating the whole thing in his spare time, which is impressive by itself.
