A couple questions:

1) Who makes the white winter camo you wear?

2) Do you have a link to vendor?

3) Is it pure white, or does it have a pattern to break up outlines?

4) Do you prefer insulated gear or would you rather wear a lightweight winter camo that you pull over your other layers?

Been a while since I used it, but I have some mil surplus winter white that just goes over my clothing. It started out pure white but has stains and such from use. In the environment I used it in, pure white was the most appropriate.

Up here it was always easy to find the mil-surplus stuff.

I'd kill to have a nice surplus store nearby. :frown:

White bed sheet and a knife will make a very serviceable poncho style camo cover. Some shoe strings will help to pull it tight and up out of the way for crawling and such if need be. Doesn't have to look cool, just blend in a bit.

Of course if you are in thick brush it will be a bit of a PITA... but white camo is less important in thick brush anyway. :)

under armour! haha....One day having snow camo jacket for skiing will come back and bite me. They made matching pants last year, pissed I didnt get them but I think that woulda been overkill.

Try Cheaper than Dirt or Swisslink in the US.

I did a mountain warfare exercise in Alpine Victoria years ago and although we all had issue white suits, one of the instructors was wearing a German suit and it worked 100% better. It's a basic white pullover and pants with olive drab blotches on it. Pure white won't work unless you're in Antarctica.

Yeah...let me tell you how much I love searching for missing snowboarders wearing winter camo....really helps the SAR teams bring 'em back alive....

Works great for crawling across the snowy tundra from low spot to low spot to work into a herd of caribou. :)

To be honest that is a lot of work for what you can usually do with a long range shot instead. But it was fun. :)
