- The 1991-92 Division 1 season was the 28th of the competition of the first-tier football in Senegal. The tournament was organized by the Senegalese Football Federation. The season began in October 1991 and finished on 9 August 1992. ASEC Ndiambour won the first title and participated in the 1993 African Cup of Champions Clubs the following year. US Gorée participated in the 1993 CAF Cup, ASC Jeanne d'Arc in the 1993 CAF Winners' Cup and ASC Diaraf in the 1993 West African Cup. SEIB Diourbel was the defending team of the title. A total of 16 clubs participated in the competition. The season featured 450 matches and scored 301 goals. No new clubs came from the second division (Division 2). (en)
- La saison 1991-1992 du Championnat du Sénégal de football est la vingt-huitième édition de la première division au Sénégal. Les seize meilleures équipes du pays sont regroupées au sein d'une poule unique où elles s'affrontent deux fois, à domicile et à l'extérieur. À l'issue du championnat, les deux derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les deux meilleurs clubs de Division 2. C'est l'ASEC Ndiambour de Louga qui remporte le championnat cette saison après avoir terminé en tête du classement, avec deux points d'avance sur l'ASC Jeanne d'Arc et quatre sur un duo composé de l'ASC Port Autonome, double tenant du titre et de l'ASC Linguère. C'est le tout premier titre de champion du Sénégal de l'histoire du club. Le vainqueur du championnat se qualifie pour la Coupe des clubs champions africains tandis que le vainqueur de la Coupe du Sénégal obtient son billet pour la Coupe des Coupes. Enfin, le deuxième du championnat se qualifie pour la Coupe de la CAF et un club obtient son billet pour la prochaine édition de la Coupe de l'UFOA, une compétition régionale réservée aux clubs de l'Afrique de l'Ouest.
