William Tyler Jarvis (October 19, 1935 – March 1, 2016) was an American health educator and skeptic. Jarvis graduated from University of Minnesota, University of Minnesota Duluth and Kent State University. In 1973, he obtained a Ph.D in health education from the University of Oregon. He was professor of preventive medicine at Loma Linda University. Jarvis was a scientific consultant for the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and a charter member of the Council for Scientific Medicine.
