- Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) (Hindi: विक्रम साराभाई अंतरिक्ष केंद्र, Malayalam: വിക്രം സാരാഭായ് ബഹിരാകാശകേന്ദ്രം). Merupakan pusat penelitian ruang angkasa utama dari Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), dengan fokus pada roket dan kendaraan ruang untuk program satelit India terletak di Thiruvananthapuram, di negara bagian India dari Kerala. Pusat berawal sebagai Thumba Equatorial Peluncuran Roket Station (TERLS) tahun 1962 itu berganti nama untuk menghormati Dr Vikram Sarabhai, bapak program luar angkasa India. Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre adalah salah satu utama Riset & Pengembangan pendirian dalam ISRO. VSSC adalah fasilitas sepenuhnya adat bekerja pada pengembangan sounding roket; peluncur Rohini dan Menaka; ASLV, PSLV GSLV dan GSLV Mk III. Direktur VSSC saat ini adalah S. Ramakrishnan. Il est spécialisé dans l'étude des lanceurs et véhicules spatiaux destinés au programme satellitaire indien. Il est situé à Thiruvananthapuram, dans le sud de l'Inde, dans l'état du Kerala. Il a été nommé en l'honneur de Vikram Sarabhai, père du programme spatial indien. Les premières installations du centre sont fondées en 1962 aux alentours de la base de lancement (en) (TERLS). Le centre compte environ 4 500 employés. Son directeur actuel est S. Ramakrishnan, qui a remplacé P. S. Veeraraghavan le 31 décembre 2012. (fr)

It was renamed in honour of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, often regarded as the father of the Indian space program. H.G.S. Murthy was appointed as the first director of Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station. The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is one of the main research and development establishments within ISRO. VSSC is an entirely indigenous facility working on the development of sounding rockets, the Rohini and Menaka launchers, and SLV, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV and GSLV Mk III families of launch vehicles. (en)
