- Utopia ist das zweite Minialbum und somit die insgesamt dritte Veröffentlichung der estnischen Sängerin und Songwriterin Kerli.Es wurde am 19. März 2013 bei Island Def Jam Music Group veröffentlicht. Ursprünglich als vollständiges Album angedacht, wurde die Veröffentlichung von Utopia nach der unautorisierten Veröffentlichung des Albums auf zahlreichen Downloadportalen verschoben. Im Gegensatz zum Debütalbum Love Is Dead, welches in seiner Zusammensetzung eine Mischung aus Pop und Gothic Rock ist, sind die Titel auf Utopia eher dem Electropop zuzuordnen. Kerli selbst bezeichnet den Stil ihrer Veröffentlichung als „Bubble Goth“. Der zweite Track der EP, The Lucky Ones, wurde am 29. Oktober 2012 als Single auf iTunes veröffentlicht. (de)

- Utopia is the second extended play (EP) by Estonian recording artist and songwriter Kerli. It was released on 19 March 2013 by The Island Def Jam Music Group. The album was produced in the five years following the release of Kerli's debut album Love Is Dead (2008) and was originally intended as Kerli's second studio album. The songs from the EP feature an overall positive message and a heavily electronic dance-influenced sound (a stark contrast from Love Is Dead) and feature production by Swedish production duo SeventyEight as well as English producer and DJ Switch. Two songs that were written for the album, "Army of Love" and "Zero Gravity", were released as promotional singles in 2011 and 2012 respectively prior to release of the EP's lead single in 2013 titled "The Lucky Ones". Two other songs intended for the album (which were written by Kerli, Toby Gad, and Lindy Robbins) titled "I Feel Immortal" and "Skyscraper" were recorded by artists Tarja Turunen and Demi Lovato for their albums What Lies Beneath (2010) and Unbroken (2011) respectively, the latter song peaking at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Although Kerli's version of "Skyscraper" was never officially released, her version of "I Feel Immortal" titled "Immortal" was released on Frankenweenie Unleashed! in 2012 and the demo version of "Skyscraper" sung by Kerli leaked online the same year. "Zero Gravity", "Army of Love", and "The Lucky Ones" all charted in the top ten of Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart, the last two peaking at number one. A artista começou a trabalhar no seu segundo material de estúdio em 2009 e após o finalizar em 2012, doze faixas do então álbum vazaram na Internet, fazendo com que metade do trabalho fosse lançado como um EP com as canções já disponíveis ao público. Utopia foi lançado em 19 de março de 2013 pela gravadora Island. Diferentemente da música melancólica do álbum de estreia de Kerli, Love Is Dead, o EP possui uma mensagem positiva inspirada na transformação espiritual que a artista passou durante a elaboração do Utopia e seu tema é a "busca por felicidade e amor". O portal Allmusic fez uma crítica positiva ao material pela positividade contida nas canções. Nos Estados Unidos, o EP estreou no número 196 da tabela musical Billboard 200 e obteve sua melhor posição na Dance/Electronic Albums ao atingir o nono lugar, enquanto na Estônia ficou no décimo lugar da R2 Eesti müügitabel.
