Fue construido a principios de los años treinta en un estilo Luis XVI, en el corazón de Bruselas. Bajo el reinado del rey Leopoldo II, Bruselas fue equipado con grandes bulevares y avenidas verdes. El Alcalde Jules Anspach (1829-1879) contribuyó a la transformación del paisaje urbano de la capital con la realización de la vía de la estación del Norte a la estación Sur. Built in an Art Deco style with Louis XVI interiors and opened to customers in 1930, it is one of the last independent hotels in Brussels, and also one of the oldest. It has 190 rooms and 14 spacious suites. It has served as a famous meeting place for great statesmen, artists and entertainers. The hotel is located on the Boulevard Adolphe Max/Adolphe Maxlaan, not far from the Place de Brouckère/De Brouckèreplein and the Place Charles Rogier/Karel Rogierplein, as well as Brussels' busiest shopping street; the Rue Neuve/Nieuwstraat. This area is served by the metro and premetro (underground tram) stations De Brouckère (on lines 1, 3, 4 and 5) and Rogier (on lines 2, 3, 4 and 6). (en)

- Hotel Le Plaza is een luxehotel aan de Adolphe Maxlaan in de Belgische hoofdstad Brussel. Het hotel kwam op de plaats van bioscoop Winter Palace. Het opende zijn deuren in 1930 en is daarmee het jongste zogenaamde palace of klassiek luxehotel van Brussel. Architect Michel Polak hanteerde een art-deco-stijl en zou zich ook hebben laten inspireren door het in Parijs, met een Lodewijk XVI-interieur. Aanvankelijk was er een bioscoopzaal in het gebouw geïntegreerd, in een weelderige Spaans-Arabisch-Moorse stijl. Hij sloot de deuren in 1985 en kreeg een nieuwe functie als congreszaal. Tegenwoordig is Le Plaza een van de laatste onafhankelijke hotels in Brussel. In de jaren 90 werd er een grondige renovatie ondernomen met het oog op het herstellen van Le Plaza's oorspronkelijke glorie. Het hotel telt 190 kamers en suites, verdeeld over 7 verdiepingen. (nl)
