- Gerry Conway (* 10. September 1952 in New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schriftsteller, der vor allem durch seine Arbeiten an Comics bekannt wurde. Von ihm stammt die Actionfigur The Punisher. Er hat in den frühen 1970ern aber auch an Spider-Man- und Superman-Abenteuern gearbeitet, und nach dem Zusammenschluss von Marvel Comics und DC Comics Mitte der 70er-Jahre mehrere Superhelden-Team-Ups geschaffen. Neben seiner Arbeit an Comics hat er auch zwei SF-Bücher und zahlreiche Drehbücher für TV-Serien (z. B. Diagnose: Mord, Matlock, Law & Order) verfasst, wobei er für zwei seiner Drehbücher auch für den Edgar Allan Poe Award nominiert wurde. Auch am Drehbuch für Conan der Zerstörer sowie an dem Zeichentrickfilm Fire and Ice war er beteiligt. (de)

At DC Comics, he is known for co-creating the superheroes Firestorm and Power Girl, the character Jason Todd and the villain Killer Croc, and for writing the Justice League of America for eight years. Conway wrote the first major, modern-day intercompany crossover, Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man. (en)

Ele é mais conhecido como o co-criador do anti-herói da Marvel Comics chamado Justiceiro (com o artista Ross Andru) e como o autor da história sobre a morte de Gwen Stacy, além de várias outras aventuras do super-herói Homem-Aranha. Trabalhando na DC Comics ele criou o super-herói Nuclear, juntamente com o artista , as super-heroinas Poderosa e Cigana e foi co-criador do super-heroi Vibro.
