- Dúné [Dew-nay] were a Danish rock band from Skive. At their split-up in 2018 the band consisted of Mattias Kolstrup (lead vocalist), Piotrek Wasilewski (bass, keysboards, backing vocals), and Ole Bjórn (keyboards, backing vocals, production). Their style was comparable to British and American electronic rock and resembles elements of 1980s pop music and 1970s post-punk blend with a distinct and modern Scandinavian touch. The band was best known for their entertaining and energetic live performances. The band released four studio albums: We Are In There You Are Out Here (2007), Enter Metropolis (2009),Wild Hearts (2013) and Delta (2016) and toured extensively around the world and supported acts like Muse, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and the German group Die Ärzte around Europe. Dúné's won a number of music prices including three Danish Music Awards (Best Group, Best Rock Album & Best Newcomer), the P3 Gold Prize, the 2008 European Border Breaking Award (for best selling debut album outside of Denmark), plus various other awards. In 2008, We Are In There You Are Out Here was voted Album of the Year (2007) by the readers of Soundvenue and "Dry Lips" was voted the best Danish pop song of the last 20 years by the readers of PopLick. - Dúné fue una banda procedente de Skive, Dinamarca, integrada por los jóvenes como cantante principal, en la guitarra, en el teclado,guitarra y coros, en el sintetizador y coros, en el bajo, y en la guitarra. Habiendo existido desde 2001, y habiendo tocado más de 300 dentro y fuera de Dinamarca, la banda de -principalmente-Skive, Dúné, estuvo envuelta en un poderoso armamento de músicos, creando un potente híbrido de rock de alta energía, agudos sintetizadores, guitarras quebradizas y melodías pegadizas, todo eso combinado en un género que Dúné nombró como “indieelectrorock”. Fueron nominados como talento del año en los premios anuales otorgados por la importante radio danesa y protagonizaron el festival SPOT en Dinamarca. El mismo año Dúné creó su propia casa discográfica llamada , y firmaron un contrato con y una licencia con . En 2007 su álbum debut fue lanzado en Europa recibiendo una medalla de oro, y premios serios como tres , The European Boarder Breaker Award, Award y otros dos otorgados por la revista de música .Hicieron soporte para importantes bandas como Panic! at the Disco, Muse, Foo Fighters y . Luego de graduarse de la secundaria en 2008, la banda grabó su segundo álbum de estudio llamado Enter Metrópolis, lanzado en Europa en agosto de 2009. A mediados del 2009, la banda se muda a Berlín, donde la escena musical es mucho más grande, y donde ven mayores posibilidades de progresar. Una película lanzada en 2010 llamada "Stages" de una hora y 30 minutos de duración relata los dos últimos años de la banda, desde el tiempo que los miembros se graduaron y lanzaron "Enter Metrópolis". El film muestra la vida privada de los miembros de la banda, novios y novias, conflictos, y la transformación de Dúné, desde jóvenes adolescentes a estrellas de rock. En el año 2018 la banda decide separarse, para enfocarse en proyectos personales, y como despedida realizaron tres shows en el SmukFest festival y dos shows en el centro de música en Copenhagen 'Vega'. relanzo su carrera musical en 2020 bajo el nombre de "Liberty", con 2 álbumes lanzados, "Haven´t Felt This Great Since 1988" en 2020 y "Moon Child Set On The Sun" en 2021. Głównym pomysłodawcą i założycielem grupy w 1995 roku był Oliver Froning, do którego dołączyła Verena von Strenge, najpierw jako tancerka, później jako wokalistka. Pierwotnie miał to być jednorazowy projekt, powołany w celu wydania tylko jednego singla "Hardcore Vibes". Założyciele zachęceni sukcesem utworu postanowili działać dalej. W pierwszych latach działalności Dune cieszył się dużą popularnością, przez co stawiano go na równi z niemiecką grupą Scooter. Pierwszym hitem był utwór Hardcore Vibes, który odświeżany jest do dziś w remixach innych muzyków. Następne kompozycje również cieszyły się ogromną popularnością (Are You Ready To Fly, Can't Stop Raving, Million Miles From Home, Hand In Hand, Rainbow To The Stars). Oryginalnym pomysłem było nagranie płyty z Londyńską Orkiestrą Symfoniczną, która zawierała cover między innymi zespołu Queen (Who Wants To Live Forever). Eksperyment się sprawdził i Dune pokazał swoje drugie oblicze, w którym prawie dziecęcy głos Vereny doskonale wpasowuje się w brzmienie orkiestry symfonicznej. Ostatni singel Rainbow To The Stars został wydany 23 czerwca 2003 roku jako remix wcześniejszego hitu z roku 1996. Po tym singlu, pomimo wielu listów apelacyjnych fanów, grupa nie wznowiła działalności. (pl)
